Tifo - Why Not At Bramall Lane?

1. The subhuman scum at the SAG would probably report us to the Hague.

2. The club are dedicated to removing any trace of character from the ground, the unexplained confiscation of the Billy Sharp flag being a case in point.

3. It would be too intimidating to modern football wankers and too joyful for the moaning old fuckers to tolerate.

We’re not even allowed Billy’s flag, what makes you think we’ve any chance of being allowed a Tifo inside the stadium?!

Personally not a fan of the more continental type fan culture. It's theirs and good for them but ours is fine as it is and should be encouraged to be louder etc. Give every seat a scarf that's just red and white stripes would look great in the winter with thousands of them held up for GCB

BDTBL is now proud to be home to one of the most sanitised and controlled football experiences in the UK.
We used to be more Leeds/West Ham/Newcastle of the old days now you can think more Fulham Bournemouth. No idea what Tifo is but provided it fits the new Lane ethos it could be a goer

I don’t, at least partly because I have no idea what they are
Jesus, thought everyone knew what a Tifo is, but just for you (obviously non footy fan people), let me explain.
Tifo is the word used to describe a colourful, vibrant and usually choreographed visual display by football supporters. It is also a phenomenon in other sports, such as cycling and auto racing.

Displays of a tifo normally occur within stadiums before and during games but can also take place outside a ground.

In many cases the visual displays are carefully planned and often each individual supporter forms part of a mosaic by wearing or holding a particular colour.

Because there’s people who work for the club who have been there too long and are comfortable doing as little as possible. Anything we do that is remotely forward thinking is generally a few years after some other clubs have been proactive in doing it and we copy it.

It’s PC gone mad.

What would someone at the club do? Lay bits of paper out?

Why couldn’t supporters if they were that bothered?

Club/SAG won't be happy until we're all sat down for 90 mins with aeroplane-style lap belts with Gary Sinclair telling us the safety rules before each game. Be reyt, 20 years ago the atmosphere at Lane could be as intimidating as anywhere else. Ya think we'd overcome a 4 goal defecit all sat on our hands saying boo hiss yay at certain points? No. Its sanitised as fuck. And don't even blame football moving on, it hasnt. Society has. We're in a phase now where we all do as we are told. Stand in our place. Speak when told to speak.

Tifo? Most of the crowd can't get the GCB reyt

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A set of fans that basically haven't got a solitary ounce of brotherhood between them organising something like that.

Some cunt would want to cause a fight because before the game starts he likes to read the adverts around the stand and dribble, and he can't see them

Tifo, in an English football context, can take a few forms. Large flags/banners passed over the heads of the crowd would be one. And, we have had those at The Lane in living memory. Coloured cards on every seat, held in the air at a given time/signal, to form a recognisable pattern would be another.

The only one of those I can recall, organised by the Club, had absolutely fuck all to do with football. November 2014

Maybe we could do a jizzing cock and balls as scribbled in all 1980's and 90's French and German text books

And 2023 pads of post-it* notes on my boss's desk...

*other brands are available.

Agreed.

I realise that I'm probably living in the wrong city to be saying this, but can we not make our own culture and stop copying others so we can look good on social bastard media?

People just seem to want more to tiktok.

The Billy Sharp Scores Goals flag was not (strictly speaking) confiscated by the Club. They just removed it & "returned it".
