Tickets v Pigs

Presumably our fellow members who believe we should pay whatever it takes, however extortionate, to recruit players will pay for these tickets, and pay whatever it takes?

No need for that, we can simply sell to one of those foreign billionaires queueing up to buy us.

Disgraceful prices for both fans. We should show a bit of class and for the return game at BL charge a reasonable rate and shame their money grabbing, out of touch with the working class fan, board.

And that's why clubs can continue to get away with fleecing fans.

We keep paying it.

If we could do it en masse, I'd lead a protest... But there's not a chance for this fixture is there?

Let's assume the 2,337 Blades with the most loyalty points, and therefore the most likely to go, have a protest and state that they won't pay the extortionate price to sit in such a delapidated stadium. The next lot of supporters with fewer loyalty points will be straight down to the ticket office as fast as they can. There is no way the away allocation won't sell out, it's just a question of who to.

I'd rather our team have some backing when they are playing at that shithole.

As has been said earlier, it's much easier to call for a boycott when you've no chance of getting a ticket.

And if the fans did ask for a boycott and get the backing of the club in refusing to accept any tickets, hundreds of Blades will be straight down to the sty when tickets go on general sale.

PS.
i still think there will be hundreds in the home ends, there always is

Got enough points to guarantee a ticket but i set myself a limit of £40 for this one purely out of principal. Have to admit I'm wavering though.

It's outrageous pricing but I've paid £35-36 at Leeds and Ipswich when we were last in this league.

Not sure what the answer is because you will never get meaningful boycotts. I know some who would pay £100 just to be seen as big Blades.

Like most others i agree that the cost of the tickets are ridiculous, however, I'd gladly part with my cash to get the hold of one ( no chance with the lack of loyalty points). Another way to look at it is that the game is close to home for many fans and as a result travel costs will be greatly reduced. If you make a concerted decision to spend nothing inside the stadium (using the term loosely) then you will not be putting any more cash into the piggies bank! This might make it a cheaper day out than many other away days and yet most memorable if The red and white wizards deliver a result.

Why don't we just have 10 000 surrounding the stadium singing make more noise than if we were in the ground

Mate £42 for a champ game is well OTT as you can see a prem game for that amount,i do think our owner (DC) should have a look at prices as not only at my club but football in general are getting out of hand.imho £25 is enough for any game in the champ for home or away fan.

Great idea, we could all stand outside the away end singing "What the fucking hell is that?" whilst pointing at the tarpaulin.

And the tarp did answer (possibly over the chords to the first verse of 'Sabbath's "Iron Man"), "I am Rimmington the Owl".

£42 will pay for my travel to the caravan at Ingoldmells for the weekend where I will relax and watch the game in the pig free zone of the boozer. Not that I have enough loyalty points to get a ticket anyway if it wasn't for having a season ticket I wouldn't be able to afford it, away games have already priced me out unless it is something special like a semi final.

No. I'll be there. What's the problem, anyway? Just pay what they ask. We wouldn't have one rule for our club and another for ourselves, would we?

Someone else on here has a van down Ingoldmells too can't remember who it is though, the Havana bar is said to attract a few Blades. Last season when we were on I watched in O'Grady's on Anchor lane there were a few Blades families in. Usually cop for a few scabs and sheep shaggers in there but I can live with them just pigs I can't stand being in the same room as them shitbags

We went into Havanas to watch the Middlesbrough game but they only had utd on the small screens and they had Brighton v man city on the big screen so all the blades went over the road to bibbys bar because they put it on the big screen, but the beer was shite, worse than dishwater and far more expensive!!

You're obviously down anchor lane then pal,we've just moved from Seaview behind oasis to stows just past butlins,we watched the Leicester game in the beachcomber on the seafront next to the lookout at Jacksons corner, but only a couple of blades in,what's that new woodys like,it looks the part on pictures and when I've drove past it?

How nice when you have an owl who agree's with prices should be lower.

Then perhaps you ought to go on porktalk and see what some (if not most) of the grunters on there are saying about us Blades.
Thought I was being fair and balanced (even tho I'd had a whisky or 3)
