Very good suggestion put to me tonight: £60 gets you into the pigs at home with two [if generous] or one if sensible and free tickets to the next one/two games.

Then its £60 a piggy.

Simple Kev, get on it.

So if there charging us £42 what are we going to be charging them, the same? Dirty bluenwhitec##ts!!!!

football is really pissing me off at the moment with prices etc, just your average away game say at birmingham will cost £100 with ticket and transport and a few beers in pub before the game.how do we stop it though as it is getting out of hand and watching jeff stelling on saturday is far cheaper.

I would not pay 42PENCE to set foot in that rusting shithole

Last season we were paying around 22 / 25 for an away game this seasons average might be 32 / 35
so it might cost you an extra tenner per game last season might have cost you £90 for a day out
rather than £100 to Brum. I totally agree with you £25 should be max for Championship game
The £30 for away fans in the PL was a good initiative

I'll be spending my money on the more affordable away games. In the pub for this one.

Wasn't there some EFL initiative for away games, and some fans got a free beverage at Sunderland or somewhere, they need to get an away day price cap, or discounts on the stuff that goes with it, parking, petrol, train fare. I know it doesn't apply to a derby in the same city really but still, this is ridiculous.

£42 is a good night outs worth, 10 pints, a kebab and your bit of an uber ride share home.

£30 +/- a couple of quid should be absolute max, especially for away fans in usually some of the worst seats in the ground. They should price them with minimum wage in mind, because if you're working full time 35 hours a week, you're not going to want to spend 16% of your wage on a ticket to see Wednesday. Supposed to be a working class sport ffs.

I've got family that are skilled workers, making cutlery for 50 years for example that are only on a bit more than minimum wage, so you can't just have snobs say get a proper job and stop working at Poundland or whatever. It's just too expensive.

Season tickets are great obviously, but some aren't in a position to have big chunks come out at once, and shouldn't be punished for still wanting to see their team play.

Greed in football is out of control, and Wednesday, fuck me, we're on a shoestring comparatively and we can keep our tickets mostly under or around 30 quid, and they're charging that with Tunaman funding and their own knock-off drinks and sausage rolls for fans to eat (if they don't run out before the game). They should be more ashamed than most.

£42 to watch a football game is ott,i am an owl not a chance in hell would i pay that for game in the league.

£42 at my club wednesday,£47 at leeds for a game of football.where does it stop because for the paying fan it is becoming a sport that you cant follow anymore.food on table or a football match.................only 1 winner in that and its the family.

tbf as a wednesday fan that is what all fans should when it comes to prices, maybe just maybe the owners of clubs will listen then.

Who do you support out of interest?

Still not found anyone who can reasonably justify paying £42.

£42 will buy me almost a full tank of fuel...
A meal out with the missus
£42 quidsworth of toys for the little'n
Its almost half the price of ifollow for goodness sake.

I was going to Bolton until its £34 or whatever it is.

Until it changes I will not give my money to these clubs.

It's strange to think we will if promoted to the prem get to see all man Utd stars for 30 quid yet that greedy ladyboy owner wants a 30 per cent increase to watch their collection of mongs

sty ticket prices and availability just been posted. No mention of Leppings Lane tickets for Grunters.

Maybe we'll get more than we thought.

Only 2300 tickets, thats crazy.

I remember in the 2000's when we would get over 7000 in that end, and on two occasions we had the end block of the north stand as well.

Even with the closure of the open corner due to safety reasons, we should get 6000 tickets.

Has the recent slashing of away fan allocation at the sty got anything to do with the Hillsborough inquiry and findings on further safety concerns on the Leppings Lane stand?

Whats funny is that they gave 9000 to Rangers fans for that friendly, yet the SAG and SYP put up all the over zealous segregation for our game and reduce ticket numbers. Yet I guarantee there won't be the same amount as trouble in the stadium as Rangers fans created for the friendly game - two pitch invasions and flares set off multiple times as well as flares thrown on the pitch.

Vowed as a 11 year old in 1979 leaving at 3 nil down that I would never go there again and I haven't.

I take any route to avoid looking at the place and close my eyes if I have to go past, when I was on a coach or something.

I want no part of that place in my life, soul or psyche.

It and they simply don't exist in my world.

I don't know their players, manager, league position, chairman, kit or anything about them. They are truly dead to me and my world is so much happier because of it.

Yes, I know that sounds odd, immature, petty and all the rest but it works for me and keeps me clean, sane and on track with a good life, a Blades life. See you at Sunderland!

Not bothered about going..I'll watch on shy..been enough times to that shitholes and tbh I fucking hate the Derby..it winds me up for weeks before. Spoils at least 15 minutes of my day if we lose and it just irritates me ..rather not have one

£42 is an absolute disgrace but let's not pretend the blades aren't going exactly the same way ...£36 to sit in the south stand against fucking barnsley

Both the blades and Wednesday don't give a flying shit about the fans ... cows to be milked

Tickets go on sale on Monday 11th September then - if you've got 50,000 loyalty points. I'm a bit short of that - I must be slipping behind or they've upped the loyalty point barrier for the first day of sale? I've always been able to buy on the first day of sale usually. Mind you, I did buy tickets for a couple of away games last season but ended up not going. I wonder if that's why? Someone grassed me up?
I didn't mean to give your name when I told the spotty teen about it being Al wrong... valuable tickets being wasted." Cer....", said I.
"Cerberus... again?", he said.
Me saying "no I said certainly", had no effect.

Why not charge Wendy's £50 per ticket for our home game.
Then united reemburse blades with valid ticket stub that attended sty.
Just a thought.

Glad I'm away so I don't have to make the decision.
Do they still have the garden shed at the back of the away end and the scaffolding poles holding everything together.

Let's have lots of photos posted for piss taking.
UTBFTP

Disgraceful allocation & price , they can fuck right off . Hope we can return it like for like for them . Fuck off back to the tuna factory Chansiri you know fuck all about Sheffield football and ruining it for people that go to watch it ....

Best summarised title I can award you is to call you a Custard ... someone whose 50% a cunt & 50% a bastard

Town before ,then the sty ,town after .its what bladesmen do

What is making me laugh is the "I'm not paying them prices? brigade,I know 2 people who have said it upto now who wouldn't have enough points for half a ticket between them.

I've said it once. I'll say it again. £30 is my ceiling for a league or cup game. Out of principal, I will pay no more. Not even for this game. I make exceptions for Wembley finals.

The pigs are only the same as a lot of football clubs. They need to get real.

Presumably our fellow members who believe we should pay whatever it takes, however extortionate, to recruit players will pay for these tickets, and pay whatever it takes?

It's a lot of money but I'd still love to go. Fat chance though, I've got more loyalty points on my nectar card.

Initially I said I wouldn't go. But as it gets closer if I can get a tkt I'll be there.

I didn't get a tkt when tonge scored that free kick. And ended up at the beamback. It just wasn't the same as seeing us win in that shit hole.

42 quid is a bit steep but it'll be worth it to see us win and Wilders celebration (As well as the rest of the team given the team spirit we have)

As far as suggestions of charging them ridiculous prices it just can't happen. Away fans can only be charged what home fans are charged for a similar view hence on their Kop it would be 42 quid.

Charge them normal price take the moral high ground. Stick them in lower tier like all away fans and leave it at that.

For thecreturn fixture It may be a good idea to put an incentive on to deter away fans from home end and lower home fans prices. (But id have thought attendaces are high enough without need of incentive)
