Anyone know what's happening with the ticket office. Always used to get in a queuing system when I rang up. But, I've been trying to get a Walsall ticket by phone, and all I've had for 2 days is an engaged tone when I ring 0114 253 7200. Have tried on-line but it won't let me book a ticket in my usual season ticket seat in the family stand unless I book a juvenile ticket also.

Keep trying, you'll get through.

Tried and finally got through to get Cardiff family tickets, not available online.

Was caller 15 and nearly hung up. However strangely was then answered almost immediately!

If you email box office with your query and a number they may call you. It's worked for me previously.

Are you using the "my reserved cup seat" option?

I phoned up regarding my season ticket and was on hold for 40minutes before I got answered. Started as 13th in the queue

Not problems then....just bloody busy.

That's a good thing.

Busiest time of year for them, season tickets to get out on top of the usual ticket sales. Plus the demand for replica kit and the club will be shuffling staff all over to try and cover for demand.

The other 14 obviously got fed up of waiting.

Phoned yesterday morning for a ticket for Saturday, said I was 15th in queue then was answered straight away. Needed loads of information about me mate for whom I was getting the ticket including DOB.

Phoned up to get Brentford tickets last week and was caller 14. Spent 55 mins on hold before getting sorted. Called yesterday to try to sort a problem with my online account and was caller 4. Took 24 minutes to get to the front of the queue and then whoever picked up seemed to cut me off. Raging!

Bought a ticket online for dingles last Saturday, wanted it put on my membership card but box office told me system isn't working to load onto our cards yet so have to send out paper tickets or collect so chose paper, still hasn't arrived.

Called up to try to get my red and white striped cat signed by Billy Sharp but apparently I need to attend a "fan event" at which point I can get her signed along with two other pussies or alternate items. I was 87th in the queue and it took me 7 minutes to get through.

Tin pot league one operation.

They'll never manage to bridge the chasm to the Championship but never mind, they'll be ok again next year

Think you're right my friend, ticket office has been amateur league for decades. We've had times when we drive up from London on the spur of the moment for a game, get in the snaking queue for tickets at 2 pm and are still not in the ground for kick off. Its a shambles. Is there anyone we can tag on here who works for the club and get things sorted, the top brass are probably blissfully unaware.

Haven't moved seats or lost ST but received a new card in the post today. I'd have been sweating with only a couple of days to go if I knew we were all getting new ones

WOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHHHH

The problem is people that want to talk to people.

It's a function of the business that suffers from huge fluctuations in demand and it's impossible to staff up to meet that demand as not many people I know are looking for jobs that give them 90 days a year employment on an ad hoc basis.

The answer is to get the technology right, which is what they're trying to do now.

If every customer has to have an access card, and I'm sure that they are moving in that direction with new one customer one ticket policy, then everyone should be able to book online and get their tickets activated without having to see a person.

In theory I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to do this whilst walking up to the turnstile at 2.59 pm.

We know that a new ticketing system has been installed and I'm guessing that it will bring long term benefits.

FFS even Leeds Rhinos have a facility to let you print your own ticket at home and scan it at the turnstile.

I bought tickets on Sat morning in person and had them loaded onto membership cards.

There are some issues they've emailed me this afternoon - especially regards to getting Walsall tickets.

Well done, good luck, I tried and got nowhere and then i got this by mail from our ticket office on saturday, still no ticket arrived, 4 days later ffs.
"Dear XX,
We are currently working with our software provider to enable our new website to activate cards, in the meantime paper tickets will be issued.
Box Office
Sheffield United FC, Bramall Lane, Sheffield, S2 4SU
T: - 0114 253 7200 (Option 1)"
I can live with teething problems but this has been going on for a long time and when i query it its the usual "not my job mate".
Utd need to wake up to the real world where people expect to buy tickets at 2:59 and walk in if members.

Looks like the system fucked up after I bought the tickets then or the cards (these are new cards that were issued on Sat as well after renewing) won't work on Saturday:eek:

Not really surprising given the miserable dopey young female that served me last week. Had the PR skills of Theresa May and clearly did not want to be there. Who trains these people. Need Chris to go spend a day in there n get em fired up.
