How come whenever we have a throw in in our half, we end up losing possession? We don't have enough players near to the ball. There were a couple of occasions when Colchester could have scored following our throw in.

Just mentioned on another thread that basham doesn't offer himself. As a midfielder he should be wanting the ball more. He's too static a lot of the time

Until evil McEv's chucked one to start the move for our second goal :)

Far too many with players hiding though.

That is easy to answer - because no one in our team is comfortable on the ball they all HIDE and do not want to be seen to make a mistake.

Happens all the time in midfield - particularly centre midfield when no one SHOWS for the ball.

Baxter gets it deep - anyone can play that deep - fucking easy. Good players take responsibility when the going gets tough.

Not a fan of Freeman defending, but he will always show for and take a pass, because he has confidence with a football at his feet. JCR and I suppose Woolford will take a ball but the important area is centre mid - the bit of the team that links everything else together - that's why Bury and Colchester looked so good - they had proper midfield players.
