Still key aspects to work on. There were times when we dominated but QPR still seemed more explosive than us at the top end of the pitch. We can play as well as we like, all of those games when we played well and had our trousers pulled down were evidence of our naivety and shortcomings. We will play far better teams than we did today and those teams will expose it.

Great win, desperately needed, credit to Wilder and the players but it doesn’t solve everything. Hopefully the two or three coming in will make us better and tighten things up at both ends. Either way we need to improve. Today was a good start.

Good point well made.

And as long as the gaffers blind spot for “he who can not be dropped or subbed” continues, we will continue to offer the explosive fire power you crave as your average 50 pence sparkler !!

No.

It doesn’t.

It answers the question.

Emphatically.

Oh yes it does, same team reliant on the same players 2 years after they were formed - football is not like that I’m afraid, unless you want your team to regress.

Interesting our first goal came from - Duffy to Freeman to Sharp, our League 1 team.

Hmmm think this raises more questions than answers.
Must admit seeing the players and winning it did seem all a bit league 1 again, there won't be many teams we can play against as poorly as we did today and get 3 points from them, (maybe half a dozen in this league) we are going to have to really start functioning to collect a decent haul of points.

I’ve got no reason to disbelieve CW, when he says the general vibe is positive, the mood is upbeat, the transfers are following a strategy and everything is good, but it’s like when you wake up to that ‘drainy’ smell at home. You flush the toilet, no problem. You lift the manhole cover, no problem. You check your bin for rotting food, it’s clean. You check the soles of your hand made italian loafers, they’re clean. You check with your missus that she didn’t give you a dirty sanchez in your sleep, she’s adamant she didn’t & you believe her. But you still have that ‘drainy’ smell in your house. Hmmm.

Didn’t Bournemouth have players from league 1 playing in the premier league??

He who cannot be dropped or subbed was actually going to be subbed, until McGoldrick got injured. I’d have thought someone with your ‘wisdom’ would have known that.

Once again he got into good positions but his crossing/final ball is shocking.
He doesn’t have the bollocks to take a man on either. Doesn’t close down players either and was fault for the goal today from not following his man.

I think you might need a plumber.

Or a doctor.
Or Jesus.

Saturday was definitely a points over performance game. We needed the points more than a performance.

There was definitely plenty to improve on, I thought overall we were actually better against Swansea but we did look more dangerous at times, which was probably a combination of weaker opposition and having more creative players in the side.

Hopefully the incoming players will improve us and we'll gradually get into a better rhythm as the season goes on.
