What are the ideal results for us?

Gillingham to beat Scunthorpe hopefully. Takes them out of the game completely.

Cant make up my mind what the ideal result would be in the Fleetwood/Bolton mathch??

Draw for Bolton and Fleetwood . Doesn't matter about any other result.

Bolton win for me to stop the Fleetwood Momentum, Bolton can be so hit and miss, so just stopping the Fleetwood momentum and putting the pressure on them for the next few games would be good, might also dent there confidence a little, always nice to have a but of doubt floating around, as at the moment they seem to be on a high.

Could do with Milwall and Charlton slipping up as they seem to be on a bit of a roll and we have them both coming to BDTBL very soon.

Scunthorpe are already out of the game, theres no way they'll make 11 points up on us with level games. A Bolton Fleetwood draw also makes it very hard for Bolton even with their games in hand and slows Fleetwood down.

bristol rovers to beat southend
as said scunny be lucky to get a point at gills

not really bothered who wins fleetwood v bolton

bolton cant win away often with current squad

coventry due a win , bradford tend to lose there

lucks very much on our side
scunny have collapsed like little pigs straw house
bolton sold their best players and look mid table now
Bradford are great if you do the pools
only Fleetwood in any sort of form
Millwall just too far back

unless we lose 6 of our last 10

hands up all those who think we are going to do that
, honestly

Anyone else finding it so refreshing not to have to worry about our rivals' results at the moment? Of course it's natural to hope that your closest rivals drop points but we have built such a lead and are generally playing the best football in the league, with the best squad and manager. So long as we keep our form going, it really doesn't matter what anyone else does.

Bolton win, cunthorpe draw, Millwall loss, bratfud draw.
Obviously a blades masterclass and another 3 points!!

Scunny are done, completely blown up.
I'm undecided whether it's best to see Fleetwood win and literally see us two fight it out for top spot....thus trusting us to have enough to win the league.
Or, seeing a Bolton win to help us stay well clear of Fleetwood and dent their run of unbeaten games, which might see them slip into the mix of clubs being inconsistent enough to get nowhere near us as long as we maintain just average form.

In my opinion, if we stay well ahead and keep the pressure off it will be a breeze and we might just win 7/8 of next 10. Just a little concerned if someone gets close to us we might have a wobble and make it a lot tighter.

Charlton have only won 1 in their last 9 games (and that was last night). They're in 14th place at 27 points off us. I'm not sure we should should be too worried about them

I'm going to sound super negative here but I want Fleetwood up with us next season, I think that would be one of the 3 relegation slots taken already. Next year IF we go up will be a big adjustment year for us, the more tinpot teams we can take with us the better. Fleetwood and Southend via the play-offs could do us some big favours for next year too.

The result is that we don't have to lift a finger to still be clear at the top of the league.

Now THAT'S ideal.

Bradford coming up on the rails and Fleetwood might melt now they're in the "white heat" of top 2. Don't fear Scunny they're in free fall, Bolton still have those games in.
But then you factor in the Blades and how we're playing.
Then that warm comfortable feeling returns.

Scunny can do whatever they like.

Would like Fleetwood and Bolton to draw.

Would also like Swindon to win so they don't need a result as much against us.

Oh and Millwall to draw with Spurs in the cup so they have to play another game.

Last edited:
Scunny and Bradford to lose, Fleetwood and Bolton to draw and Spurs to beat Millwall like a ginger haired stepchild which will demoralise them for the rest of the season.

Fleetwood win wouldn't be the end of the world. Would virtually scupper Bolton and leave it as a 2 horse race. We would still be 5 points clear of Fleetwood with a better goal average.

I think hoping for Bolton to beat Fleetwood is a no-brainer. After that, Bolton would still have one match in hand of us and be on 63 pts. - nine points behind us. Fleetwood would be on the same games as us (36) and still be on 64 pts. - the 8 point gap between us and second would remain the same

Still 30 points to play for
