Having finished the washing up I am now sat in the conservatory listening to Patti Smith with a bottle of Shepherd Neame's Bishop Fingers and reliving this afternoon's match.
Vice Captain Coutts' goal was a thing of beauty,it's accurracy and power was just awesome and I would just love to make him my Man of the Match but that accolade has to go to Mark Duffy.Even without his 2 goals he was the best player on the pitch and ran the Swindon lot ragged.Credit to them for not hacking him to death which many teams would have done.
Oh and that big grin is definitely back on the old mug.

Because the Night...belongs to Bladesmen;

Because the Night....belongs to Duff.

Spoke to my buddy, who was on his way back home from the match. He says that from where he was sitting, he could see a gap open up briefly past five or six players and Coutts thumped it low and hard and it picked its way through the gap.

Just saw it on the highlights. Great goal.

It was a great goal pal, right place, right time, BUT, the Coutts of previous seasons would have panicked and looked to off load to someone else, under CW, he just takes a deep breath and blasts it, fantastic goal

I thought that too. When we went 3-0 and were knocking the ball about like Barca I was waiting for one of our players to get snapped in half. A serious injury to one of our midfield would be a massive setback.

Thankfully the Swindon players kept their heads and we never indulged showboating - just quality football.

Feeling on top of the world ....now where's Roy to make me feel even better?
