We have had confidence going into the season, out of the three, where were you most confident, for me, and not looking at it now but at the time I have to say clough, adkins and Wilder, nothing against Chris as i have confidence for the season, but so did I last year and before.

I`m scared and don`t know how to answer this one.
HELP !!!

Cummon son, Ave a go, what yur scared of.

Foolishly I felt confident with Adkins. Never with Clough.
And this season is a big Don`t know yet for me.
I don`t want to let Wilders Bladeness allow me to overlook things like WE HAVEN`T GOT A DECENT GOALKEEPER and basic essential stuff like that. I think we are looking at a very hard slog and I have absolutely no strong belief even a play off spot is there as things stand. I`ll get back to you in November.

Fair enough, i just felt under clough in his first full season after the Wembley semi final I thought we were on for a good season, unfortunately I was wrong.

yep, went tits up on day 1 v bristol city. I think it'll be different this season even if we have a dodgy start, think Wilders's man enough to handle it.

I was quietly optimistic for Cloughs first full season, had zero expectation when that slippery conman Adkins smarmed into the managers office.
This year I believe Wilder has instilled passion, hunger and aggression back into the side and in the supporters. It has been sorely lacking since Warnocks tenure as we've whimpered down the leagues.
But I predict that no longer will teams come to the Lane, raising their game for their 'cup final' They'll be coming with their tin hats on, praying for the final whistle to blow, because this is our year! United are back, COYRAWW...........hang on, I feel a bit dizzy:)

Out of the past 3 years, I was most optimistic about last season. Adkins to me was a step in the right direction, the tactical switch up we needed. I thought he would lead us to a new golden era.

I was sat in the pub with mrs Damski. I watched in dismay as we went 1 then 2 then 3 nil down. It pushed out to 4-0 as Leicester City (Mrs Damski's most loved and home town team) sauntered to a 4-2 win over Sunderland. She gloated as I wallowed. The rest, as they say, is history.

High hopes turned to a lot of confusion with Clough's closed season. When players like JCR kept coming by the bus load I remember scratching my head and thinking that at least the 11 that had ended the season would be very competitive. Somehow he managed to destroy that.

Going to gillingham last season i thought we've got a decent manager here and was very optimistic how wrong i was .this season i think we will romp it, if this manager can do what he did on virtually no budget at northampton this should be a doddle .

This.

Wilder's got a good forward line in Sharp / Clarke and decent back up in DCL, Mcnulty and Done. They could all end up in double figures.

We need to be solid defensively and we are in with a shout.

Given Clough's initial success, it was easy to be confident in season 2,
Never thought Wier was going to do it, he didn't have a strike force
and Adkins rang alarm bells when he decided Collins/Jmac was not only a CB partnership but also included the club captain.

After Clough had took us to Wembley and finishing 7th (bottom when he took over) I went into the 2014/15 season thinking we would walk the league!

Last season was really confident going to gillingham right up until I saw the team sheet and then saw George Long's scared looking face before the start of the game

difference for me this time is I get a general feeling amongst fans we could win 0-4 today and we would generally, enjoy it yes, but within a couple of days we would be erring on the side of lets wait and see, the last two seasons we would have reacted in we are going to smash this tin pot league.

David Weir and he let me down.

Cloughs first full season i thought we would romp the league and i got let down.

This season i feel very apprehensive.

Be reight, we'll get up in the morning and will find out it was a 3-0 win after all.

Its been blind faith every season. But Im least surprised with defeat today put it that way, but that comes with time and learning to accept what we are; a poorly run football club with a owner who has ruined us, unfortunately until he goes it will not get better. I just fear where it takes us until his hand is forced.
