Bolton fan here, looking forward to another trip to the lane(even though we will probably lose 8-0)
Proper football stadium, enjoyed the atmosphere between us both last season. You are having a great season, think you could be nailed on for the play offs at the least! Good luck, but please go easy on us on Saturday.

We expect a tough game, got to be tougher than Sunderland who were shockingly poor yesterday.

Feel a bit sorry for Bolton fans because with Parkinson you know your team will be organised, physical battlers.
Not good to watch but quite effective, especially from corners and set pieces.

So you might stay up but there’s no real long term future under Parkinson, it’s effective but poor football.
Might be better sacking him, risking relegation back to league 1 and starting again from scratch.

We’ve been playing reasonably well of late (even during the bad run) but generally unlucky with opposition teams scoring long range worldies from nothing. So yesterday’s win was massive for us, again we played well and didn’t come close to conceding, so it should have boosted confidence.

I’m expecting a Blades win on Saturday, probably 2-1
and I can gaurantee Madine will get plenty of stick...which means he’ll probably score.

Despite the recent ‘to and fro’ when we were both in L1 I actually don’t dislike Bolton as a club.

I’m hoping we’ll continue to improve after a wobble in form.

Was it Bolton fans who broke a Blade's jaw for no good reason when we were at home last season or another random Lancashire side? They all blur into one.

I had two top class days out in Bolton last season and I bear their fans no malice.

I hope they all have a top class day out in Sheffield on Saturday and return home to the darkside with exactly the same result as we got at their place both times.

I really think Bolton will go back down, that is unless they can pull off some good transfers in January. Also not a fan of Bolton, never did like that chairman of theirs would tried to make the Premiership a closed shop, he clearly knew the shit they had coming their way :D

Haven’t heard much noise from Bolton fans about not receiving enough tickets like last season.

Be 1500 at most I reckon and after the billy big bollox they gave it last season that would be embarrassing.

They’ve sold 900 so far, so should be 1000 to 1,200.

It might not seem high but they only took 611 to Middlesboro on Boxing Day.
Also when you consider they haven’t won away for ages, then bringing 1000 here is decent.

Parkinson is the bigger “CUNT” in my opinion........Madine is just stupid.

I quite like Bolton. Just hate that cunt Gary Madine. I genuinely hope his career gets ended on Saturday so I can go back to viewing Bolton as a proper club.

Yeah I agree. The consensus with us Bolton fans, is that Parkinson’s football is our only option at the moment due to having no budget. But going forward we need someone new in, that hopefully encourages much better football, but at this moment, can’t really afford that luxury,

Also, most of us don’t like the chairman, he always makes snarky comments that are completely unecessary. He’s even directly criticised our supporters last week.

Wilder is a proper manager, and I am definitely jealous that you guys have him!

It’s a bit of a catch 22 regards Phil Parkinson, he’s actually a good manager but only up to a certain level.

I reckon he’ll probably just keep you up but it’s the road to no where.
So once he’s achieved the feat of keeping you up then he needs sacking in May18.
Your Chairman should start sounding out a replacement manager for next season.

I really think changing manager now will be too much of a culture shock and too much upheaval meaning there’s more chance of relegation. However if you do get relegated under Parky then the irony is that you’d probably be better keeping him as he’d be a good manager to gain you promotion from league 1.

I think Bolton could easily have gone into freefall last season. It was quite an achievement to get promoted automatically, even if done in the ugliest way possible. I think it would be a massive gamble, on another manager, who has more chance of keeping you up. Parkinson makes it very hard to like him or his teams, but he has clearly worked very hard and done very well, to get another chance in the Championship, he is here on merit for certain....but, now we will see what 'his level' is. It could well be a bit like Warnocks first few seasons with us, putting together whatever sort of team you can to survive in the league, until you get some stability back into the club. I am not usually into acrimony with other teams, usually petty, so good luck for the season.....but if Madine disappeared into the fog on Snake Pass and never returned, I wouldn't lose any tears.....

To be fair to Parkinson, and you're right that long term there's likely to be little progression from the dour football he plays, he's exactly the man Bolton need with their off the pitch problems. He's getting as much as you can reasonably expect anyone to do when they haven't been able to sign anything other than free agents.

I've always had a soft spot for Bolton.

I have not. Nathan Blake went there and I preferred him as a Blade, I have disliked them though since they moved into a stadium named 'The Reebok'. What a plastic soulless ground that is (and last time I went there I got a parking ticket). Madine is enough to remove any fondness one might have for the 'Trotters'.

I agree I dislike everything about Bolton.

What’s not to like about Bolton? Apart from their twat of a manager, abysmal style of football, fans who think they are a big club even though their crowds are piss poor and the thick piece of shite that is Madine?
