...was the peak of our season. Around 16:33 on 16th September 2023.

The last moment I actually felt a pulse in our campaign.

I think about it a lot. I can't be the only one.

And likewise, at the end of the 2 and a half hours added-on time was when I knew what our eventual fate would be.

Remarkably, you're right. We'd just come off the back of a 2-2 draw with Everton after running City close and showing some balls in the later part of that game and that had followed a narrow, late-late defeat to Forest.

This one seemed to be the real peak, because what followed was the 0-8 home defeat to Newcastle, which we never really recovered from.

Was in the away end and whilst there was a mixture of jubilation and surprise at going 1-0 up - you could sense the nerves and once the added on time went up we knew the writing was on the wall. I genuinely think that could’ve kickstarted a confidence boost and we’d have only lost to Newcastle by 5 goals instead of 8.

Yep and then from somewhere about a years worth of injury time was found.

I was thinking about this the other day. 14(?) minutes of added time without any VAR interventions and just one goal to factor in! Scandalous really.

This late defeat coupled with the Newcastle defeat totally destroyed our confidence. Not that I think we would have stayed up, but we probably would have found 8-10 more points from somewhere.

It was 16 minutes of added time and they kept claiming some of it was Wes wasting time. 🤣

It felt like that listening to the match. Asaba on Radio Sheffield was fuming.
Remember watching it and thinking that if was just going to continue until they not only equalised but won the game.

The McBurnie red was strange… not sure we’ve seen many more of those since then

Like Clatternberg said they know what McBurnie is about.

After the 2-2 with Everton I honestly thought we could do something. Archer and OM clicking and some excellent football .

Oh dear
Now I am really worried this whole season is all on me... this was the last game I was at BDTBL

Has there ever been as much added time since - other than prolonged injuries or VAR interventions? I wonder whether at that early stage in the season they used us as shock tactics to prevent time wasting in future matches - not just for us but the whole Premier League. I was there and couldn't have predicted that much added time
