He gets 3 minutes at 1-0 down
It’s not over yet but we won’t get anything from it anyway so don’t mind prematurely saying this.

The left back be it McCallum or RND were consistently town to shreds by Ben Doak and we’ve been last ditch in stopping the goal. What Brooks is fantastic at is getting back and helping out defensively - does he just not rate him or what?

Been our second most exciting player this season and he can’t get a look in when we are absolutely bereft of goals and the likes of Shackleton, RND and Campbell are regularly getting minutes ahead of him.

He can’t feel very very hard done to, and it just doesn’t make sense to me.
It’s another bit of judgement from Wilder that I’m starting to question, along with the consistent selection of a striker who’s scored 1 goal and a number 10 that does fuck all.

Brooks has been a revelation this season , he can attack , he can defend , he's got pace & presence , but can't get in the team.

But O'Hare can.

Hamer’s suspension is a blessing in disguise especially for Brooks.

It should hopefully force Chris to play two proper wingers in Brooks and Rak-Sakyi.

Whether he plays O’Hare or Brewster should be relatively academic because he isn’t going to not pick a fully fit Hamer.

The extra rest will probably suit Hamer as he’s been nursing an injury.

Hopefully this will then end up with us having a supporting 3 of JRS, Hamer and Brooks and right now, I believe this is what we need.

It still means O’Hare and Brewster are reasonable bench options, as is Peck, but these three in front of Souza and Arblaster are the way to go. Hopefully Davies gets fit soon so he can also be an option to keep the likes of Arblaster and Hamer fresh.

Exactly this, our wide midfielders are offering no protection whatsoever to the full backs. So if they are doing little going forward we need to change it. Brooks is an athlete, he doesn't always look like he knows what he's going to do but his unpredictability going forward and covering qualities defending demand he's given a run in the team. He can't do any worse than those who played in front of him the last 2 games

I am sorry having Brooks on the Bench whilst our so called centre forward only has 10 touches all game is absolutely criminal Moore should have been subbed at half time absolutely criminal performance.

He then took till the 86th minute to bring Brooks on it is embarrassing.

I agree with that 100% I don't understand what Wilder is playing at his stubbornness kills the team and is going to end up with the fans turning and him getting sacked if that carries on and we fall away again.

Wilder needs to let go of Moore being the main striker no matter what, i rate Moore he's looked good at times but you don't need a big lump up top isolated


You could play Brewster up top which frees Brooks to play in behind
