So far this season we've used:

2 GoalKeepers
5 Centre Halves (all five has started games)
3 Right Wing Backs (all three have started games)
1 LWB
7 Different players in the midfield 3 (6 different starters)
6 Centre Forwards (5 have started).

I'd imagine we've had to utilise our squad more than most this season.

Squad depth is not about numbers, but about quality and fitness

For example we have Leon, Billy and Clayton who've been fit enough to play 90 mins. Ched, Lavery and Hanson have not been fit enough

You see my point though. We're in the top 2, despite having to utilise this squad (which we apparently don't have).

Not having a squad is a myth, we have 2 perfectly acceptable options for every position. I'm not Lundstrams biggest fan - as I've alluded to on here. But he's still young, has time to adapt (he's only had a few months) and Tufty know's him well. He's obviously a like lad being in the card school and he's played with a few of our players before. For me he does give the ball away way too often, but we're in a position now where we have to support the lad. Key games coming up before xmas. If we can keep this 2 points per game record up by Jan, we're in a smashing position.

Yeah i see your point, but there is also a diversity to the squad which can give an
Basham can play centre half wing back and Centre Mid, CCV came in after Stearmans injury.
Lundstram, Carruthers and Brooks have all featured in Centre mid, but none are perfect replacements, yet.
Duffy perhaps has Brooks as his back up, but Brooks has had to fill in up front too
Wing backs we have good cover with two per position, but currently down to zero on the right.
Up front is also stretched when we have injuries.

I think someone said we had 26 in the squad, so perhaps we need to see how we're looking in December.

Lavery and Hanson if they're not 100% i'd send them on loan and get in another striker, Perhaps another RWB and 1 or 2 centre mid

Don't think we need another RWB. Freeman and Baldock (barring more injuries) will both be fit by then.

Can't flood the midfield with more signings unless they're guaranteed starters. Difficult to attract players just to play backup, especially when we have a couple of backups anyway.

Brentford let Jota go for 7m, if you could guarantee that ginger haired ex Shrewsbury lad for 7m, i'd go all out for him. He could be the cog in the machine that continues our midfield dominance. Unfortunately the wages might screw our structure up.

The way CW/AK coach is to have versatility in all positions.
Whilst it is nice to have specialists, they should also feel comfortable when we need cover. Look at some of the cracking tackles Fleck has put in when we have got caught on the break. CW/AK are creating complete footballers who are not only comfortable on the ball but comfortable in each other's positions when it is needed.
It is the reason you have our so called wing back and centre back up field at the same time.
They expect and rightly so that their ultimate position will be covered by another.
Now that bloke on here who talks about his version of football is left behind because it is an ever developing game with such fluidity.
Cones are only for training. When they 'run around' with purpose to change the picture and recognise the change in picture that makes the difference.
