freeman played just that little tweek turned us from losing 1-0 to winning away

when you look at our defeats only fulham and wolves beat us good and proper
the rest were mainly 1 goal defeats
thats sortable
we missed several key players

we were 2 wins off a play off , we dont need major surgery
a 10 per cent improvement means we should be in the play offs

The promising season we had last year was based on the good start we had and only derailed by an injury to 1 key player Coutts. Losing Brooks didn't help but we will never know now what impact he would have had if he'd remained fit.Our high pressing game disappeared after Christmas and the players were knackered in the last 6 games of the season, games that were the difference between play offs and 10th.

We were knackered because the likes of Enda and Jack were overplayed and we did not have capable deputies to come in. Equally we did not have a Coutts replacement or even someone who was as effective as Duffy was at no.10 when he inevitably ran out of steam. We changed the formation to try to accommodate this but we struggled particularly at Home to break teams down who had worked us out.

The likes of Evans, Lundstram, Holmes and Leonard who we brought in during the season could not deal with the intensity of the championship. They will be better players for having a full Matt Prestridge pre season. We were short on quality replacements because of budget constraints but also because players found it difficult to adapt to the championship mid season.

Yes Wolves and Fulham were the only teams who really turned us over possibly Cardiff away at the beginning of the season but that counts for nothing now. 6 new teams and the likes of Forest being backed financially on a Wolves scale means its likely to be more difficult as we are no longer the new boys on the block.

I don't agree we are only 10% away from the play offs. We need at least one CB possibly even two. We had the 10th worst goals conceded record and that is the position where you usually end up based on goals against. Someone to provide pace in midfield now Brooks has gone and two quality strikers. Thats 5 players we need to bed in with our high intensity game so that we can start the season at full throttle.

we lost several players for 4 and 5 games like duffy an sharp and clarke and even donaldson come in on fire and out first game
We had zero luck in games v bristol city h villa twice cardiff never ever deserved equalising at our place etc and a few others , many say these even out but Ive never experiencd that
forest may be spending a bit doesnt mean they automatically become good , birmingham spent even more and only just survived last season

games brooks played in we won 13 but lost 13 , so improving on that shouldnt be hard
