I agree it SHOULD help but I can't help but wonder if VAR might not continue to be used to show the intent of the 'Sheffield player' to foul some show pony Liverpool wanker .

Sadly Premier League have decided no tvs for the ref next to the pitch so it will be a set of championship referees who will be making the call on whether a mistake took place or not.
