They were determined, we weren't.

At times they reminded me of Wilder's promotion side in their attitude. They were desperate to get to balls first. You could see they were chasing everything down to the end. Giving everything. Putting their bodies on the line. Stretching every muscle. We weren't. We ran about but the committment isn't there.

When Wilder talks about passion he seems to mean Robbo getting someone in a headlock, pushing other players or Hamer walking up to a big lad and slightly bending his head under his nose, like a cunt.

We're 5 games from a potential promotion, where is the energy? Where is the fight? Where is the 110% effort? Where is the determination to win at all costs?

I said it after the Oxford game. If this bunch want to be promoted they're going an odd way of showing it
I don't necessarily think they don't want to be promoted but I do think they're complacent and expect to win.

We have Hamer, Campbell, BBD, JRS, O'Hare, Burrows and Seriki in the squad but generally create so little. Tonight was actually a bit better but it's too slow/predictable. Apart from shit shooting we don't take enough risks around opponents boxes.

We take far too many in our own half though, so there's that.

Agree. At times it’s like we try and walk the ball in.

Millwall won every areal duel, seemingly every tackle and second ball too. We couldn’t match their bite and desire to win the ball.

All of our play was very slow, not getting an early ball into then box, nobody to pop the ball off to when under pressure, no smart movement, no patterns of play and no real idea of how to attack.

It’s been pretty much the same all season - relying on an individual bit of skill or brilliance to get a goal. To be fair, it’s worked up until now but the cracks (which have been pretty visible all season) are starting to widen. Concerning.

I've said it countless times for years no matter who our manager is. We are a subbuteo team. We pass to static players stood in space who then take a touch, have a player all over them and then have to rush the pass. We rarely pass ahead of players who have already started to make a run off the ball. This results in us being slow and predictable and it also allows players to drop back deep in number where they can easily crowd out the attacking players. We rarely keep the ball and drive with it (O'Hare being the main exception), which drags opponents out of position and creates space to attack and exploit. We are so laborious and constantly search for the perfect pass or shot through over patience. When we run out of ideas we try to pass through a defender stood one yard in front, or shoot through the defender where the pass/shot just cannons off them. Our approach is predictable and too easy to defend against.

Other teams match our formation and tear through us at ease with quick passes, movement off the ball and players driving at us with the ball, all the things we don't do using the same formation.

Don’t think it was anything to do with desire or wanting it more. I can’t fault the effort tonight, it was the performance and complete lack of attacking quality that let us down tonight and Saturday.

Peck is a big offender. With Arblaster we moved the ball much quicker and with much more purpose. Peck takes an extra touch and he is really casual. You've got Seriki and Burrows running forward and they need the ball played into space.

I have thought the same that we are not outworking teams in the last two games. Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard.

I was very impressed with the Millwall one on one defending, our players looked amazed when they tries to go past their defenders and they took the ball off them.
