It's one thing that confused me when we got relegated, loads of Blades saying one 'benefit' was that it'd mean more 3pm Saturday matches - did they not remember the last time we were in the Championship? Was/is just as bad.

Sad to say that I don’t travel over for the night games any more unless I’m stopping over, it’s just too much of a rush, and I’ve seen enough accidents on the Snake over the past 28 years to know that it is very unforgiving in the winter. My season tickets thinks we’re still subject to lockdown!!

It's a joke mate, I hate it. 348 mile round trip for me and I feel every mile of it driving on my own, it's so incredibly boring.
You should listen to a decent podcast :)

Another thing about night matches is that the train is usually not an option. And if it is, it costs a fortune. It's far cheaper to drive.

Scabs game rearranged.

Now it's 5 of the next 6 home games arranged for batvision.

Absolutely great for those of us with a 200 mile round trip!

Yes but...

3 of those games are rearranged so HAD to be midweek and the Blackburn game was always midweek.

So literally only the Forest game has been 'moved'

Bad enough for us living in Sheffield unless I take the car it will mean a two bus journey home or a very long wait in Pond st for a direct service unless I leave before the end. The fixtures this season have been just as bad as in the Premier league so I'm another one who is wondering if it is worth getting a season ticket for next season.
Saturday 3.00pm is so much easier than 12.30pm or 8.00pm where you don't get home till 11.00pm. Then we have Friday or Monday 8.00pm kick off's it's bollocks. Don't get me started on Sunday games.
Pro's
You can't beat live football.
I get to see a few old pals
Con's
If I take the car I have to go early to park near the ground cost £5 and I can't then go to the pub.
Public transport is poor my bus can take nearly 40 mins and goes round the world and then have to get another from High st at least it is free I suppose. The limited stop service changes to every hour in the evening and on Sundays, I just miss one after games unless I leave before the end. When you think about it if I were young and fit I could walk to town nearly as fast as the bus taking a direct route rather than the bus route at peak times.
The facilities on the kop are shite and are affected by the weather it can be grim in winter just going for a piss never mind queuing for refreshments in the pissing down rain.

A TV subscription looks ever more appealing as I get older. Even without Sky TV I have only missed one game so far you can usually find a stream somewhere. A £200+ saving on a season ticket might just help pay the gas bill I don't see my OAP increase coming even close. I will have to think long and hard when the time comes to renew.

100% on home games and been to most of the away ones but it's costing me a fortune in travel and accommodation! I miss sensible o'clock kick offs. Ah, the price of success...

I think it’s great no 4.30 in the morning starts out to the airport
No pre flight pints of ( proper ) Guinness
No cold cans on the train over to Sheffield
No meeting up with mates in Bankers , then up to Bess , then around to Bennies ( thank fuck there’s nobody checking if you’ve had a few )
Before you get in the ground
No quick after game pints before train / plane back to get home around 12
Boo fuckin spoilsports

Fun though init if it’s clear
Oh yes, and stunning scenery. Being honest I used to commentate in my head I was rally driving, thereby hangs the problem. Seeing a grey haired passenger through a windscreen and her brain matter visible soon brings you back to earth though.

2 young kids (1 and 3) who need to be put to bed. So for every night match I have to draft someone from my wife's family in to help do it.

Not a chance I'm managing 5 in 30 days.

Fuck off Sky

Is there any other club that has as few 3 o'clockers as us?

I can imagine it does..the inability to pass safely also adds to the danger. You get those doing 30-40mph over it and then you have to check yourself as you start to contemplate iffy overtakes

I know what you all mean, but also, remember you do choose where you live.
