Watching the blades is and always has been agony. One minute you are on cloud 9 like today, and Tuesday I was depressed. Don't get me wrong 5 wins and a draw is one hell of a run and long may it continue. But then before that we had an awful run. We never do things the easy way. Sounds like Tuesdays game was poor, but then we come back with an excellent win today. Can you please get a handle on things and give us an easy ride for once. I know its not the United way, but give me a break FFS, at this rate I'll need to see the quack for some pills.

If it makes you feel any more positive, once we get our quick lads back I expect our home form to get steadier. Combine that with our remorselessly grinding away form and the Gods will have to send down something special to stop us this time.

Yes, great win tonight, but let's not automatically think the same formula will work next week at home against MK Dons. Let's reset and get our approach, team selection and tactics just right, then hopefully we will have too much for them.

I fully expect MK Dons to draw with Doncaster and then come to the Lane and end their dreadful run of form.

Also, only slightly related, the bookies now have us as pretty hefty favourites for promotion.

MK Dons are a better side than form suggests, it will be interesting to see if they come to the Lane to win or whether they settle for a point. Personally I think that because they need to win, it should make for a better game than we have seen of late down the Lane. UTB.

the basis is set on defence
5 clean sheets in a row , thats good ,nay brilliant

morgan is looking to be working as a defensive coach

A steady run of games with Collins, Harry, McMahon and Higgs is enough to explain it for me. I know managers can't use injury as an excuse because it allows players to get out of jail free, but the simple fact is that injuries do disrupt.

Miller/Forte/Murphy all being injured at once is ridiculously unlucky. It's the striking equivalent of having Collins Harry and Higgs all out.

Good to see that being without Higginbotham today didn't de-rail them.

Like having our top scorer jailed or even (heaven forbid) sold to Reading?

Don't tempt the Sheffield United footballing Gods. They are pigfans and are responsible for playoff shit after playoff shit, Tevez, Hans fucking Segers, Danny Webber and the BL post, JAF and Taylor, Ebrell, Ched, Simmo's penalty kick, Bryan fucking Robson, Iraqi transvestites and Don Givens.

How can you get neurotic when in 18 away games weve won 10 drawn 6 and only lost 2 , and was of those was hideous wrong last minute penalty.
We lost 3 in a row when we suffered a multitude of injuries in beating scunny, this was a blip , if weve been found out then weve found out those whod found us out and found them out, as weve all found out with recent result.

It's not the away games that worry me it's the big swings of form. Like stuffing Notts County 5 -1 away (In a cup of course)and losing at home to Hartlepool. We have been unlucky with injuries and some silly decisions, and I'm amazed and delighted where we are, but I'm biting my nails waiting for the next barmy result. Maybe I've been a blade too Long. I just hope and the end of the season we will be in the top 2.

hartlepool have surprised a few of late , up to yesterday, as did yeovil and coventry had a much better run , till yesterday, as I said before , in 89 90 under basset we lost 4 at home and went up with 82 points from 46 games, theres always bad days in a season, and even Barca now have lost 3 in a row , whod have thought that possible 4 weeks ago
