We looked tired last night, not our usual selves, and i think the boys pushed to the edge of their capabilities, and now they need to recover.
I knew a few are after a good cup run, but, I think the league is far more important, and resting as many as possible should be our priority now.

Thoughts?

Agree. We have a squad of 25, we need to use it.
would love to win the fa cup, but we won’t. Let’s ensure we have the energy to stay in the P.L.

Was confirmed yesterday that there will be 11 changes, no issue with it to be honest, we’re playing a relegation threatened Conference team.

4 games in 12 days with 3 of them being away, 2 of which are against world class opposition, with our style that relies on pressing. Not surprising we came up against the best team in the world and couldn’t get near them.

Full week rest required, 100% and go into West Ham !

I don't think anyone has any issues with making changes against Non-League Fylde as a second string should beat them, but surely after that we can rotate the first team/squad in order to give the cup a good go.

We only need Norwich like form to stay up, if we can't do that whilst playing a few cup games as well, we might as well give up on the hope of ever winning a major trophy.

A lot gets made of 11 changes but with 7 subs on matchday, you're taking over 60% from those that are involved anyway.

There shouldn't be an outrageous drop in quality when we name a 25 man squad.

Although it's not a competitive game, you assume the week before the match, those not picked play together against those that are anyway.

I think we should go for the FA cup, but fully expect 11 changes v Fylde and I don't think it's disrespectful to suggest our second string should make light work of them. (They won't)

the last 2 games were against the best two teams in this league both away and that was always going to be a harsh run esp at this time of year - i think CW is spot on when he says the man city game took allot out of us and we were great against them
Liverpool are unreal this season , not just their great play and players but their workrate and effort is outstanding - hats off to Klopp (who seems a really nice bloke also)

def all need a break, but we have a squad and thats what it is there for and i would expect the fringe players to put in allot better perfomance than last year ( esp now fighting for a prem place)

In the post match press conference last night Wilder has already apologised to Fylde
and explained his players look tired....so he’s forced to make 11 changes for the FA cup tie.
