There maybe trouble ahead

Not really. We played top end, middling and bottom end teams and struggled with all of them, bar Sunderland.
Carry on the same way without an improvement in quality and it isn't hard to see the trouble ahead.

Why you keep pretending to be a supporter? Everyone can see you are on the wind up, so your either a pig trying to be clever, which let's be honest like everything the pigs do ends in abject failure

Or you a 'look at me' attention seeker, in which case I suggest you open the door and explore the thing called the world.

Yes we were gash tonight, but the strength of reaction is because it's such a rare occurrence , we've not been on the greatest run, but other than tonight and against wolves, who are a class apart we've played ok.

Now for a newly promoted team with a middling budget and a manager new to this level I'd say everything we've achieved is pretty bloody fantastic.

Yes, we've struggled since Coutts broke his leg.
You can pretend all you like about the results since then but the points return doesn't lie.
It's relegation form.

It's a 46 game season, who cares if it's relegation form. We've done enough early season to get points on the board and now avoid relegation. Surely that was our ambition at the start of the season? We, as fans, really need to take a step back and lower expectations and realise where we came from!

The fact we are even being considered play-off contenders is astounding.

Umm had a few drinks ........ but at the end of the day , did we over achieve at the beginning of the season , we are finding our feet , at present we are amid table team . IF the play off come along all well and good but just accept we are work in progress , better than last year , just get behind Chris .........utd

Man, I wish I could have actually seen you saying this at 10 past midnight last night

I imagine plenty of swaying, lots of arm waving, those difficult-to-focus eyes, some over-long pauses & a daft grin at the end looking all pleased with yersen.

Hope your head’s OK this morning & thanks for making me smile.

Very poor tonight but in reality the results for the last three or four months have been those of a relegation team.
Wilder was given buttons in the transfer window and the results have been as predictable as his own unhappiness about being let down by a board that should have done much more to support him.
As it stands, we're looking at a team that will struggle next season.
Unless he's give proper support in the summer Wilder ought to look for the out door.

The lack of 'Likes' for your post indicate how much utter bollocks you are spouting!

Next season hinges on the strikers, and new No. 10, we need (Brooks may step up so might not need a No.10) Rest of the team is fine and more than capable in this division.

Chill. Shit performance v a team fighting to stay in the league. It happens. My worry isn't the loss but wilders play to the cameras. Personally found it unprofessional and (hope I'm wrong ) will cause more damage to a team that's struggling with confidence and consistency. Wish he'd save the negativity for behind closed doors.

I wonder why he bloody bothers, everything he does is criticised by so called fans who think they know better!! Page after page of wrist slashing, desperation stuff on this forum!! I am sure these team haters, can't wait to get there vitriol out every time there is a defeat. The bloke is being what people want, honest, but heyho he musn't say what he says because its unprofessional and will disrupt the team because we know better!!

We've won four out of the last 15 or 16 games.
That's a large chunk of games and that is relegation form.
And that performance tonight was of a team that would struggle to stay in this league over a full season.

I think your team have won less but I presume that's not relegation form

table doesn't lie .. we're a just off the playoffs team at the moment..

who is going to tell them that nil nil only gets one point. they are going to be well pissed when they find out :D
Not even Dave Richards can help them with that one

Actually, Sky put the last 16 games form table up last night and we were 15th. Not brilliant but not "relegation form" either.

So you're talking bollocks as usual.

Why's that then mate.? So you can read all the rosy spec stuff without any distractions, about how God Wilder will get us in the play offs, or even top two, as one clown said earlier this week.
i'm that clown. i also studied Mathematics to degree level. until it is mathematically impossible i won't give up. weird stuff happens in the Championship. it is not a straightforward league as we found out last night. again. the problem is people seem to think ah.. Hull .. Burton ..Reading.. they're near the bottom.. ooh we can win that. no . not in this league. anyone can beat anyone on the day. Only Wolves are away. Villa won seven(?) straight until last week. they will drop off. it's like watching a lava lamp this league

And that's the funny/worrying thing about last night we were shit, but they weren't much better. We've not been out fought/played/thought by a bunch of Warnock style battlers, we've lost a game tepid game against a tepid side. In the past, performances like that under CW have lasted no longer than 20 minutes, a half at most and either come at the end of a game or are rectified at HT. Last nights was near enough the full 90. That's the worrying thing; the players either didn't listen to what was said before ko & at halftime, chose to ignore what was said or were incapable of doing what was said.

It might be that CW has been saying things to the players privately that he hasn't been in public and that last night was the straw that broke the camels back for him. He's no idiot and there have been times recently where i've thought he was more generous with his comments than what i'd have been. It might have been a case of "I'll back you 100% to the press as long as I believe that you leave nothing out there". Something might have happened post match in the dressing room, where he's just thought "fuck you". He's also started to mention the names and money of opposition players recently, so his comments might be intended for boardroom level.

We are 7th in the league in our first season after being promoted. For gods sake what is wrong with some people.

No good comes from overachieving that’s for sure. I’ve said it time and again that fans expectations in the modern game are a joke. What gives us the right to think we can or should just walk into the playoffs in our first year. What a season we have had! Yes last night was shit, no doubt. But let’s not overshadow the broader achievement.

Who knows what we will do next season. Let’s see what happens for the rest of this one first. I think one things for sure, god help poor Wilder if we have a bad start next season because it’s clear from this forum fans will turn in a click of a finger. He’s the best thing that’s happened this club in a long time, let’s have some perspective.

I can assure you we won't be 7th at 5:00pm today ;)

What we need is for people to understand it was a bad night at the office. Wilder has said what’s needed to be said so let’s move on talking about how we get back on track.

I think it says a lot more about you if yo start thinking boardroom and transfers when I can tell you that most and definitely not Wilder woke up this morning and didnt give it a moments thought.

We are now level on games with everyone else and just 2 points off the play offs. There is nothing else wilder or the players need think about

Ah shit, good point, I was mid rant and wound up.

I noticed some nonsense from Biggs claiming Wilders frustration is down to a split board and lack of cash. Where does this dribble come from.

No.
There wasn’t any rosy spec stuff. Just lots of hissy fits saying the same thing on different threads over and over again.

I don't know CW personally, you appear to do so. My comment was based upon what he said in his Radio Sheffield interview last night. He said he'd be looking at things between now and the end of the season and that he'll be giving thought about what to do in the summer about players and that we are short and some we currently have have maxed out. That to me means transfers. He also mentioned his personal ambition, driving the club forward and people being on the same page. I'm not plucking ideas out of the ether. :)

I'd hope CW learns from that. To stick a microphone under the nose of any manager - just after a game has finished and emotions are running high - is bound to lead to trouble. For an emotional guy like CW, it can be disastrous. Memo to Chris: 'What's said in the dressing room stays in the dressing room.'

I don’t think anyone’s saying we have the right to be in the playoffs, I just see people pissed of with a really poor performance last night against a shit team.

I do think that within the constraints of his budget he wanted Holmes and Leonard - and that’s exactly what worries me somewhat. Neither of them look like world beaters (yet) and, as you said to me in the Shoutbox last night, he actually wanted Irvine but we couldn’t get him, so we had to look elsewhere.

CW clearly is frustrated at the lack of financial backing he has been given - he more or less said that last night.
