Actually I was, and at most away games all season, at Shrewsbury we played alot better and won, reason being that the effort and desire was there, but again you like aload of other Blades fans think we are better than we are. I guess to put it in simple terms for you as you must be a simpleton " as a Blades fan my expectations are obviously alot higher than yours".

So it doesnt matter if the team fails as long as billy biglegs gets 20 goals ?

Where was he today when we needed him ?

Actually it's a rather simpleton view to simply say we didn't win today because of 'effort' or 'desire' while you're handing the insults out.

I think 20 goals in this league is mediocre

I think finishing outside the play offs is mediocre

Im not saying he is shit im just saying he is part of a squad that is not good enough to get promoted

I think 20 goals is the widely held standard of s decent goals tally in this league. The teams in the top 6 don't have players scoring many more.

And he's done this in a shit side.

Imagine how many he could score in a good side.

yes, agree 100%.

Very very similar game to Gillingham at home.

Cannot fault the attitude, effort, commitment at all

What we saw was very very limited ability to break a team down - little skill around the 18 yard line - little intelligence in and around the box.

If Adkins WANTS to play that midfield 5 next season then he won't last until Xmas - it has virtually zero creativity where it is actually needed.

That team today played to it's limits - it simply isn't good enough for the amount of time, effort, commitment and money we put into the club.

After seeing the other results at 5 pm, I feel quite devastated - all we had to do was beat a very average side called Barnsley.

You must wear the same rose coloured spectacles, we hit the post we deserved to win, yeah right we only had 1 more effort than barnsley on goal If we were four points ahead of Barnsley and laying 6th in the league and just drawn at Barnsley we would of celebarted just like the Barnsley fans. At least they had something to cheer, unlike the Blades fans.

Fuck the BBC website. They are so poor at football journalism. They said that the disallowed Barnsley goal was in the second half. Absolute charlatans.

Your ability to watch 2 minute highlights defeats me.
 
Today we looked like what we were to me; a team that has been playing above its natural limited ability for a few weeks and it caught up with them. Our players looked tired in what was a relatively high tempo game where they were put under pressure on the ball.

We do have a poor squad who have played well recently, but it wasn't sustainable with the players we have. It's just a pity they burned out after five or six games instead of ten.

I dont judge players on stats i judge them on their ability to influence games and inspire their team mates particularly in the big games
Thats what the best players do the stand out ones
I dont think we have any (including billy )who i think is a bog standard lg one striker

If you play him enough games he will score enough goals to have fulfilled his role and done his job but the team will have suffered when he goes through one of his long lean dry patches where he is innefective

Take off you Wenger specs Pete. My ability to see defeats you? It was clear enough a shot when I saw it with my own eyes as it is in the highlights.
