As soon as England go 1-0 the game changed big time, Argies got much better, upped a gear and dominated playwise. England chasing the ball last 30 mins drained all power in the team. They continued frontfoot after 1-1, antics apart they showed class second half.

Doesn’t matter who you appoint as manager, they’re going to have to work with English players, and they don’t have the mentality to be winners. The football team reflects the nation.
Is it the people of the country or the country itself you have distain for ?

You'd rather spend time with Scottish football supporters and the nation is a nation of losers ?

Can't comment from an Argentinian perspective too much but I find this a bit of an odd way to celebrate.

Enjoy your victory obviously, even though I've never been fond of Argentinian tactics as long as I can remember.

However, the Falklands aren't yours, the inhabitants don't want it to be, and your attempt to take them back ended up in an embarrassing military defeat that even the super powers didn't believe could be so easy.
I'm genuinely surprised that Starmer hasn't paid the argies millions of pounds of taxpayer's money to take them back. Still, time yet though, once Sue Perkins gets his feet under the table.

I genuinely think we need a Pep to take the reigns. A complete change in mindset and tactics. I'm not sure how well it translates to international football with limited coaching time but we can't keep trying to defend leads, squeeze out tight wins and play % football.

At 1-0 we completely surrendered the game. A good team keeps structure and defends via possession of the ball. Not by initiating a low block against the best player the world has ever seen.

I'll see your Ronaldo and raise you...

We picked the wrong German. Klopp, who will no doubt now lead Germany back to some kind of silverware, would have been better to go all out for.

Hard to take that we surrendered that game to those snidey shithouses after taking a deserved lead. Taking Gordon off was a huge mistake we should have taken Kane off and put more pace on Watkins or Rashford. Their two centre backs on yellow cards, and we don't put any pressure on them, we just retreat and let them play in our half for the last 30 mins. Even the worst manager in modern times Wayne Rooney called it, most fans could see what was going to happen. Us United fans have seen the same tactics for a few years now, it might get you 92 pts, it might get you results against the average teams but at the end of the day when you play this way against top teams you are found out. Seen some people say we are only a small country so don't have the talent pool of other nations which is utter rubbish, Argentina has a population of only 46million let that sink in, then think about the likes of Croatia or Belgium. 🤔 Something is wrong with football in England and has been for years maybe the Premier League is just a training ground for other nations' talent whilst our talent struggles to break through and get game time. Think Italy who used to have the top league in the world where have they been for the last few tournaments.

Because we let them do it.

Yes they got better, but when a team says to Argnentina, ‘right go on, let’s have a game of attack v defence, you’ve got Messi and we’ve got Dan Burn, off you go’ then there’s only going to be one outcome

Quite harsh on Dan Burn as he’s been fine but you get the idea.

We like to think we're a footballing nation of warriors, but in reality we've got imposter syndrome. Maybe that comes from the very top and that informs managerial choices too.

But you know, we're ranked 4th in the world, and that's likely where we'll end up in the is world cup, and Tuchel could maybe say he was hard done by if he gets the sack, but when Messi isn't playing, Argentina are not a top 4 side, and we should have done more in the 75 minutes before he came alive to win that game.

I still think Tuchel took the wrong squad to the USA

Last night would have been much better with

----------------------------Pickford--------------------------

Trent-Alex-----------Maguire----Stones------------Spence

------------------Rice---------------Anderson--------------

Rashford--------------Bellingham------------------Palmer

-------------------------Kane-------------------------------

Leaving international experience at home and experimenting in a tournament gets you nowhere. In the group games we were unconvincing. Against Mexico we were embattled and the Norway game was tough-and-go.

Add Gibbs White and a few others to the list.
