They dont count a penalty shootout as a defeat. Strange but true. Thats why England are so high ranking

Ok ok, FIFA may not, but you're telling me that for the 20-30,000 Blades and however many Huddersfield fans that went to Wembley, there was no winner and no loser? Sorry but thats just Bollocks.

Bloody hell. Did I miss our 3-1 away win at Blackpool last night that sent us to second spot in the Championship or did I get a huge dose of reality (again) back in May inside the theatre of shattereed dreams?

Talk about in denial.
Undefeated, my arse!

every team on the planet is 'two or three signings from a decent outfit' .. even barcelona
i reckon that Radio Cider's comments are fair actually.. we're still not firing on all cylinders

that was depressing Kenny. I got home last night and stuck radio five on to hear Udders away at Blackpool. I got slapped in the face with the visions of Andy Taylor's spot kick bouncing back off the post and then Simmo's run up (I did not watch the pen, as I knew he'd already missed). This was closely followed with a what could have been (Olle suppin ale, chasin slappers and generally causing havoc round Blackpool). First time I have felt shite about the way last season ended since May :( (I'd blocked it out and focused on Euro's and cycling over summer).

:D I m the Harbinger of Doom (or was he the feller that got 4 wickets for India vs England in the last 20-20 group match)

Personally, I've got nothing against 'udders (in fact, they're similar to us - permanently living in the shadows of a MASSIVE team) and am both pleased and surprised at how they're coping, post-Rhodes.

Don't look at them and think 'that could have been us'. Barring astuteness in the transfer market which generally eludes us, we'd have had a terrible struggle in the Champ. and would probably been below Wendy.

Bloody Hell Boo. Even Google didn't know what "phatetaal" was. Now I am none the wiser, either.

Sorry to hear about your self-imposed interspurged enema trials. It's probably done you the world of good though. To be fair I think that if you had a Phaal then I am pretty sure you would have known about it.

Nowt against Udders either. They were the better team on the day and actually tried to win the game. I also think that it is funny what a bit of momentum can do (look at the likes of Norwich and Southampton) and most of the teams that have gone up from League One playing decent stuff have stayed up. My worry is that we've lost momentum and will be stuck in this division for a few years. I was bored of the Championship and found the third tier really refreshing last year, but I really wanted to go up.

>Kin'ell my brain hurts now.
indeed mate.. didn't you know that there is a massive tax for using full stops in RoI atm. it is part of the Euro austerity measures

I've lost momentum also. Eldest at Uni 2nd got a Saturday job and I've loads of work at night and weekend at present so cannot get to games. I loved last season with the away days especially Bury and Rochdale. I even enjoyed Exeter because we knew at that point it was not for us.
Now I'm struggling to get to any games.
