"the system is not the problem"

Last season we terrorised Vestergaard at home and gave him nothing, it was an impressive tactical move. Today he was picked out at half time as being the key influence.

The system works when we press. It allows for counter... today we’re doing neither

It isn't. We aren't playing the system we played over the last four seasons. We don't really have the personnel to fundamentally change things either. Rock and a hard place.

The inability to play the intended system is the problem

At 60 or 70 minutes in a losing game then Wilder would gamble and reduce a centre half and throw on a striker.
It may be premature but our season is at this 60/70 minute position and I would prefer us to start with a top 3( Moose, Brewster and McB) and start a game with a more aggressive outlet. We obviously cannot find a settled 3 at the back in the absence of JOC so releasing centre back may be a gamble worth taking.
Just an idea.
Keep the faith
