The back of the home kit.

Are you a stripey kind of person, or do you like being served up a solid?

Is this the Magnet/Maggots of kit questions, or is the answer fairly straight-forward?

Only you can decide.

It's not something that overly vexes me, but I've previously only bought home shirts with stripey backs. Might make an exception this year though.

As long as it has some stripes I don't mind. I think the 1/3rd stripe of the last 2 seasons (and as seen on a couple of Le Coq Sportif kits) can look really smart, and it's easier to see the players numbers for people that struggle with it.

No plain backs though if at all possible.

Prefer the solid back you can see the name/number a lot clearer. My only gripe with this new kit is the collar, it looks like a stripey kit pulled up over a plain white one.

Wouldn't mind more thinner stripes as well, mind.

I don't mind really.

Depends on the overall design of the shirt.

I hated the 2006-07 shirt with the red back but the 2018-19 shirt with the white back was a belter.

My preference is solid/stripe mix. Solid making the number easy to see, don’t much mind red or white but prefer red , and stripes at the bottom so in the colder months when you are wearing a jacket you can have your shirt tails out and theirs no mistaking you’re a Blade.

Why do people need to see names and numbers? They’re our players, you should be able to recognise them without reading it off their backs.
Fair point, but from the back of the Kop to the away end goal, (with players facing away from you) is a long way.

Why can’t the players have a panel, like in TC’s day, so that half blind fuckers like me can read the numbers, but the fans have an option of a striped back, or a panel only if they want it with a name and number on?

I'd like to have every player wear one of these with either their number, or a big blown-up picture of their own face, just to make it extra clear. It's taken me ages to stop mixing up Berge and Basham (admittedly it was much more difficult from the back of the Kop than on TV).

In answer to the poll, personally don't mind either way. Variety is the spice of life... there'll be a new one in 10-11 months anyway.

There is no debate over magnet or maggots
You don’t have a night out in Sheffield with a gallon of maggots

As I’m in my 30s, I’m officially too old to get too worked up about the kit. So long as the away strip isn’t pink I’m alright. 😂

How do you feel about coral?

New kit looks like nice though

Agreed. I'm always struggling to tell the difference between Sharp, McBurnie and McGoldrick unless they've got their back to me...

It’s no salmon or magenta 😮

For what it's worth I reckon this is the colour of the away kit. It's called Signal Coral.

The alternative is fully Barbie pink, which is called Glory Pink - I just can't see us going for that.

The above is a sort of fluorescent peach colour, though subtlety when it comes to colour isn't something Unitedites are renowned for, it'll just be "That fuckin pink kit" to most, like the Teletext holidays was blue when it wasn't.

Anyway, we'll almost certainly have a third kit - we're Premier League.
