Bad manager.

At the time, they weren't doing it.

Bad manager.

You can't say he's a bad manager by selling players who weren't doing a job for us but have managed it for another club. Would you call Alex Ferguson a bad manager? I remember Diego Forlan being shocking for Man United, but as soon as he moved to Athletico Madrid (I think) he was top scorer in La Liga.

Yeah because stead was given a proper chance under blackwell

and hulse was in no way rushed back way too soon, then judged on that, before he could even have a pre season under his belt

How you can defend blackwell for what he has done to the strike force is a joke really, but that is typical of this forum, clap like seals no matter what!

Excuse me?

No one is defending Blackwell. They weren't performing for us back then. Nothing more too it.

All though I would have liked stead to stay. Apparently Stead was a lazy shit.

Not really, I just think you are constatly looking for any opportunity to bad mouth Blackwell no matter what the context is.

I wonder how many of the strikers who left was purely Blackwell's decision? By that I mean the striker was happy to stay and the finances were in place to keep them.

there is more too it, ive just told you why, fucking hell

So there's more to players playing shit for us, getting rid, and then scoring a couple of goals for someone else? Hmmmmm.

When a player isn't playing very well they normally get sold, if someone is interested.

ive just fucking told you

HULSE WAS RUSHED BACK FROM A BROKEN LEG TOO SOON, THEN EXPECTED TO PERFORM WITH OUT EVEN HAVING A PRE SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apart from beattie, we haven't had a stand out goal scorer in a while. They always do well before we sign them, shite while they play for us, and then good once again when they've left.

ITS A CURSE!

Have you ever stopped to consider that maybe Hulse wanted to leave...? Prehaps he wanted to be a 1st choice striker rather than being a bench warmer all season?

(Insert pointless swearing and exclamation marks here) ;)

Stead id have let go out of the 3.

No way would i have let hulse go and BT was down to "money"

He wouldnt have been a bench warmer, im sure he would have been more than happy to stay, given the fact we had just helped him through such a bad injury

He would have been back up to Beattie and you know it. And what striker wants to go from being our best striker to having to play 2nd fiddle to someone who is better than him when he can move on, get a fresh start and be the star striker at a club on a similar level to the one he's at?

You ever considered going to anger management classes? May help you out.

How do you know he was rushed back too quick? Maybe he was fit enough. He miss a fair few easy chances to get on the score sheet.

strikers scoring or not. The route of the problem is creativity and with a man in charge that seems to think hard work and long balls is creative then we are goin no-where, a top 8 finish is all we will get this season not in play-offs unless Blackwell moves on.

Agree totally, BUT I watched the highlights of Forest Derby and they both looked like scoring more than us. However, It is easy, sat on the Kop, to pick a team and expect them to perform as they should. Real life is a bit different

Very true. But when Hulse got fit we were playing good stuff.

I know your talking in general there. We will get a top 6 finish. If Blackwell realises what needs to be done. Yet we can all talk a good game.

So you'd prefer a forum where everyone agreed with what YOU say?

I'd suggest you may want to find another forum. Or perhaps not bother with forums at all.

:)

It was Villareal. He's at Atletico Madrid (no H in Atletico) now. At Villareal he scored 54 from 106 games, at Man Utd it was 10 in 63. So Fergie must be a rubbish manager too.

As for the players scoring for the teams they now play for, how the hell can anybody say they would have scored lots if they'd stayed at the Lane? It's all "if", and as the saying goes, IF my auntie had balls then she'd be my uncle.

The needless swearing, especially when the poster has to take the time to type rather than just blurting it out is totally uncalled-for. Just because somebody disagrees with you doesn't automatically make them wrong.

there is a thing though that hulse cut it at the top level and played well for us and was brought back too soon
where as forlan was just poo.

Let just think, Hulse did it in the Premiership as did Stead both are now scoring regularly for their new clubs mmmmmmmmmm. We signed Beattie for £4m after a shit season with Everton, overpriced and over paid ?????????? Fair enough he got goals for us so you can't knock him and he is now banging goals in for a shit Premiership outfit. What do we have as replacements mmmmmmmmmm, Henderson didn't cut it in the Premiership and isn't doing it in the CCC been sent off as many times as he's scored, Webber and Sharp you don't need two hands to count the goals they have scored in the past year, add to them a couple of pacey midgets who won't do much with hoofball against two 6ft + centre backs and an injury prone lump from West Brom who's contribution to different sides over the past year or so has been mainly laying on the treatment table. Yep I agree with Soloman we got rid of the wrong strikers, not all Blackwells fault though just poor management over the time after we went down from the Premiership. Time some of you lot took off the red n white painted spec's, Beighton sums it up in a line, same owd no ambition.
