Now The Derby is back how's about dusting off this trophy that was played for briefly as a pre-season thing in the 90s?
Award it to the winner every time a Derby is played, and in the even of a draw the holder keeps the cup until such time as they are beaten. England-Scotland do it in Rugby Union for the Calcutta Cup. It would ramp up the occasion a tad and give the victors something tangible at the end of what is not simply another match, regardless of what Bryan f***ing Robson said.
