STRAPPY's made a bit of a rod for his own back and bites easily, that's why all this stuff carries on. But I've got no real issue with him - indeed I fundamentally agree with him about most things regarding SUFC - and I do think he gets some decent info.
I agree with him about the unnecessary hounding of ITK posters on forums, but at the same time they should have thicker skin because the majority always appreciated it. EIGHTEEN89 asked for it though because he was ridiculously cryptic bordering on nonsensical.

Am I mixing E89 with another poster? Was he the cryptic one? One guy posted infrequently but was always spot on. Who was that?

Strappy didn't originally post ITK stuff he suddenly just started boasting about his betting coups which came from someone called Agent Jim. The betting markets he talked about didn't exist in the figures he claimed as many posters pointed out.

As with many who have sources "close to the club" 95% of the info that supposedly comes out is bs. Which makes you wonder exactly how many leakers there actually are at BL.

As you say, it's up to the individual what they believe but claiming horse winners having never tipped them is a bit suspect IMO. In any event, setting yourself up as ITK leaves you wide open, especially when it's day on day out and vague.

I know it all sounds like something from Spooks, but do you think that sometimes the club might leak something they know to be complete bollocks, just to see where the leak is?

And you know what, he has a point. Many people on forums gag for 'ITK' information then pick up the pitchforks and call people allsorts when they actually hear some. How many feckers on here oozed a bit of precum when Sunjihi spilled the beans on Adkins' fate? Some were fapping over the news, others screamed bullshit.

I speak to Mike now and again on Twitter and he's a sound bloke. It's up to ME as an individual as to whether or not I believe any info he gives. I take absolutely everything with a pinch of salt, because I see no point in taking a rumour as gospel and getting egg on my face. What's the point in chucking abuse at people for sharing stuff they've heard? If you don't buy it, don't buy it and leave it. No need to be a dick about it.

For what it's worth, I've spoken to 'Newcastle Blades' for a few years now and we've spoken before about something else which has happened this season, so I know which source Mike is referring to and it's a legitimate one.

With regard to the retained list what has he actually said that anyone with a bit of common couldn't work out?

It's all completed, a couple of days before the deadline. Wow.

If you aren't gambler you wouldn't be aware of the volatility of the football manager market and the chance of winning significant amounts without putting large amounts on.

He originally suggested Parkinson - I know things change - who was 1/7 favourite and then had a bet on Adkins as a saver. The day after Clough was sacked Adkins was a best priced 5/2 in a market where twenty quid would affect the odds. Three days later 4/7 and the day after 1/4 before the market closed.

Before he went down that route though he was a good poster, certainly knew his football and United.

LaneLegend - that's the one who might've been an ex player. Forgot about him. He often got things right if I remember correctly.
