Will Danny renew his interest in this pair? We might be able to grab a couple of bargains given the fire-sale that's going on at Rangers. They were both willing to come on loan last season, so presumably they fit into a League One wage structure?

I guess our current situation means we need to know asap are the 3 with contract offers going to stay?
which of our 'better' players will leave and for what fee, before DW can invest in the squad.

good shout with those two, were Blackpool in for one of them as well??

Not heard that much of either to be honest - is that a good or bad thing?

We don't know what percentage of their wage would have still been paid by Rangers though so could still be way out of our league.

(right thread this time)

HeCanDoMagic that was Greg Wylde. Fleck went on loan to Blackpool and I think made a couple of substitute appearances; as far as I can tell Kyle Hutton disappeared into the vortex that is Rangers.

Hutton might be a good signing, we don't have any Kyles at the moment.

Have there been any Scotsmen who can actually play football since the 1990s?

Derek Riordan. Jimmy Johnstone levels of discipline off the field means he'll never get to play down here. Now past his best but a class above League One and, presumably given he's twiddling his thumbs, cheap.

John Sutton ex Motherwell currently frozen out at his current club would also be worth signing.

Charlie Adam !

I think it may be harder to sign these now given what has happened at Rangers rather than the other way around. Surely their big earners and highest valued players will vacate first leaving behind the 2nd string i.e. Fleck & Hutton, therefore nullifying our chances of signing either.

IMO :)

Think you're right there. The higher paid payers that can command a transfer fee will be moved on and their reserves will become their first team.

Ah, that was it.

Hard to keep track of anything Rangers related!

I think the transfer embargo only affects them being able to bring players in, not let them go.

In any case, didn't they win an appeal over the embargo?
