The problem isn't that we missed Ched....

It's that none of our replacement strikers have got any goals in them! Cressy's absence obviously didn't help and it sounds like the service wasn't good but how much confidence do we have that Beattie, Hoskins etc will knock one in? Looks like it's going to be down to Willo and the midfield - and I didn't think I'd be saying that when we started the season.

For me today the midfield went missing, forwards had absolutely no service. Quinn was dire, again, . I don't see us scoring again until we start to ' want' it.

I thought we missed Ched yesterday. There were times we got in good positions and no-one would dare shoot. Hoskins and Porter never looked like scoring all afternoon - O'Hallaran and Cresswell next week (if he's not injured).

According to Radio Sheff, Cressy declared himself fit yesterday but they didn't want to risk him as his shoulder wasn't 100%. Have to presume he'll be back in next weekend.

Let's not forget we were unbeaten and won 6 out of 7 at the start of the season without Ched in the team a fact, hopefully, DW will have been reminding them of.

We missed both Cressy and Ched yesterday. We missed Creswell's off the ball runnng and his pressing and hassling/harring. We missed Ched's sharpness and ability to stick it in the net. Yesterday was worrying. We defended poorly and they could have beat us 3 or 4 nil. We created very little and failed to work their keeper. The most worrying thing for me was our direct style. We hoofed everything. We knocked everything long to Porter and trated the ball like a hot potato. Only in the final 10 minutes did we pass it around. Credit to MK Dons for giving us little time and space and for pressing us. I worry that Stevenage will do the same next week, When teams press us high and pack ot the midfield we struggle. K Mac and Doyle were given no time and space and as a result we resorted to hoof. The players looked lethargic and there was a lack of movement. We also played very deep and invited them onto us. It was a really poor performance yesterday.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I didn't think we tried to hoof in the first half...in fact I thought we were just as negative as they were.(The first half was probably the most boring match of the season).

The 2nd half we went more direct and created more chances. We upped the tempo and at least looked like getting in their penalty box. We certainly missed Cresswell especially with that last minute chance(I think I am quicker than BT)

My worry is the defending at set pieces. If Wilson doesn't sort this out,Stevenage could have a field day.Impressed with O'Halloran when he came on and his pace might be what we need in the next couple of games.

Rumours are that Hill has a pulled hamstring,Hoskins played with a double hernia problem and Willo has a groin problem. So playing,Taylor,O'halloran and Flynn next week looks a possibility
