The player management of Jebbison

I watched Jebbo at half time doing the stretching and warm up routine with the others. If his attitude in training is similar to the half time routine then I get why he isnt starting. Half hearted and lazy, just going through the motions and not taking it seriously.
Maybe that's just his way? But it was obvious that he wasn't trying.

I’ve been one for advocating more game time for Jebbo but that was a strange cameo from him today, he kept running at the side of the opposition players with the ball and not putting a foot in at all, he looked like he couldn’t be arsed but I could be way off the mark, it’s just what it looked like to me.

We need him to be better because he’s going to be needed from now until the end of the season.

People are coming round a bit thankfully.
The lad scored a tap in in a dead rubber and done absolutely nothing else of note in a Blades shirt and probably never will.
Don't half get giddy over very little some fans.

Why do you think he 'probably never will' at this stage? He's hardly had the opportunity to prove himself at this level yet... even if he had surly he's still just a kid.

Given up already nice

Christ

Well not using Jebbo or anyone else has meant we have probably fucked Sharp for the rest of the season.
We were asking for trouble playing Billy so much at his age. Cannot understand why he played the full 90 against coventry when we were getting battered

Christ. The kid still qualifies for the U18s. Give him a break.

What a fall from grace for the young lad 3 weeks ago he was courted by dortmund and the greatest player in the history of football

And now his greatest ever achievement will be a tap in vs Everton Keef Chedwyn :eek:

I personally think a 1 in 3 striker in professional football, at the age of 18 needs fucking off to be honest.

Doesn't train hard enough.
He’s an utter cunt by the sounds

He should retire now 🙄

We had a few back & forths on Jebbison and I think your opinion was fairly balanced.

He's not going to be our saviour and we wouldn't have recalled him but for an injury crisis. But that he only actually needs to be OKish to help us out between now & the end of the season.
I didn't actually want him back, until the very last week when it became clear McGoldrick & Brewster were goners.

I certainly wouldn't advocate on starting the lad based on what I've seen, but I do think it's a little bizarre that we've not given him a few more minutes in games when MGW, Berge & Sharp are all so crucial to our run-in and either have had, or are likely to have, injuries issues due to age (as has now transpired with Sharp).

I can only assume Jebbison's not showing enough in training.
I hope that's the case because if not, then Hecky has a blindspot where player rotation is concerned which would be more of an issue moving forwards.

I think Jebbison has shown enough to be in front of McBurnie. He's physical, quick and annoys the shit out of defenders. For what we have left after injuries he's the best option after Sharp.

He's also not close to being the finished article. But for the few minutes he's been given he's put a huge amount of effort in. So forget training, just watch the games

FallowfieldBlade please advise our good friend of all of the goals that McBurnie once scored... once upon a time in Swansea... better than Sharp isn't he?

Plus he's actually in the box and has missed 2 sitters but tbf he's entitled too, he's got himself in those positions. You're more likely to score if you're in the box then outside or in the corner flags as mcb seems to be
