The player management of Jebbison

You could be talking about Will Osula.
I could be, however I’m not.

One has had serious real life match experience in the man’s game this season, done well, very well actually. Recalled mid injury crisis.

The other is a talent, but has only played in the 23’s. Today was his first time being named in our squad and suddenly he’s picked above Jebbo. Eh?

Absolutely spot on. He scored 7 in 20 in league one. Even Mcburnie could manage that.

No doubt he’s a talent and could be great in the FUTURE. But right now he isn’t the player some of our fans think he is
So why the fuck did we recall him? 😂

Osula was on the bench for a Premier League game. He may have been involved earlier this season but for injury.

Funny, when he played that game and made that terrible pass there was a thread on here with people saying he wasn't ready. A few games later he doesn't come on and people post complaining about not playing him.

It’s Osula’s first ever senior appearance. Jebbison was having a very good first real professional season in league one before we recalled him and gave him 30 minutes in 13 games. It’s ludicrous.
Who would you now expect to play if Sharp gets injured?
don’t you therefore think that it is in the clubs best interest to have him on the bench?

Find me a post from me saying he isn’t ready or complaining about that fuck up.

He’s going to make mistakes, he’s 19. But we don’t really have a choice but to give him a chance and get those creases ironed out.

Daniel Jebbison. Because that’s our only real option. Hence the lack of minutes for him being utterly astounding.
Would you consider MGW and Sharp to be better than Jebbison, it is surely in the clubs interest to keep them on the pitch for as long as possible.
jebbison has been brought back to cover injuries to the first choice players including mcburnie.

Not when they’re absolutely fucked, no. Which they were tonight.

We are also at very real risk of a muscle injury for either of them, they aren’t being rotated at all.

It’s unbelievable how dense some of our fans are , he was brought back due to striker injuries and just incase we had anymore. When he did come on the other week he got thrown under the bus for a poor pass.He is clearly not ready ,heckingbottom is an intelligent bloke and knows them youngsters inside out.

So why the fuck did we recall him? 😂

Because of our injury crisis and no other reason. He wasn't seen as being ready this season, hence the loan.

An injury to Brewster & McGoldrick and a loan move for Burke & Mousset later and the situation changed.

Also doesn't help that McBurnie has transpired to be one of the worst strikers in the league.

So; we’re totally disregarding Jebbison in this? 😂

You seem to be the one disregarding others points because you have a narrow minded agenda.

Can I just emphasise how little of a fuck I give about what he does in training?

He is a big strong quick and athletic lad with proof he’s capable at L1 level. He’s a better option than nothing.
So if he can’t hit a barn door every day in training and looks like he’s not up to scratch, we start him because he looks the part?
Seriki looks strong and athletic but was pretty poor when he started.
I get the frustration, I agree that he should be given more game time - particularly when we aren’t creating anything or need to stretch it up top.
But to suggest that we totally disregard everything he does or doesn’t do in training is utterly ludicrous.

He was considered good enough to be playing for us in the Prem and even scored a goal and looked a handful in the games he played. Suddenly he’s deemed not good enough by the same manager.

Hecky is taking the piss out of him by calling him back and not playing him.
Wouldnt say takin the piss as hes about 13 but can see it been another DCL story 😂

So we couldn’t just loan in a PL prospect? One who’s club would’ve been happy to get him some real life experience in the championship? Instead we’d rather stall the development of probably our most promising young player.

Talking of narrow minded agendas… eh?

Can he run about a bit? If yes, he should be playing more than 30 minutes in 13 games in the injury crisis we’ve got. That front 2 are being flogged to death and if we aren’t careful it’ll put a premature end to our season.

Calling people dense when you can’t use punctuation is a serious serious own goal matey.

I really don't get this Jebbison thing.
if he hadn't scored on his debut on the Telly nobody would give a toss or even have him in their thoughts as an option.
He's done nowt in a United shirt since and we seem to get brain washed by over excited commentators and journalists in all the over hype after his tap in at Everton.
For now he's done nowt to tell me he's gunna make a difference just yet.
I've written Billy Sharp off as finished on here a couple of times and each time he makes me eat my words, which i'm glad he does, so i hope Jebbison does the same.
Ndiaye is the one for me who undoubtedly has the X factor but i conceded against my opinion tonight that he should play more minutes cuz we were wide open second half at Blackpool until Hecky made the change.
Maybe Hecky just might know what he's doing!!!!
Unfortunately the reason our season may filter away to become also rans is down to covid related postponements and injuries and playing twice a week which is proving to injure players in numbers and at a regularity which is unprecedented.
With a fully fit squad or as near as you can get to one we would have eased at least second spot this year.

I understand everyone's views, but, surely he should be feeling a little pissed off, that Osula gets the nod ahead of him yesterday?

I agree that he should have been given more game time. But to completely disregard how he is in training is stupid.
Burke ran around a bit. McBurnie runs around a bit.
The point being that he may be utter dogshit in training and only on the bench as there is nobody else.

My view is that Hourihane was the only sub we used 89th minute, and based on our injury list and the fact that both MGW and Billy were out of gas, I would have brought Osula and Jebbison on and a lot earlier.

Jebbison is young and raw. Yes he fucked up a pass a few games back. But he did show energy and a willingness to close down players and tried to get into good positions to receive the ball. MGW struggled last night and Billy while combative doesn't have the legs to dominate against a defence. It probably would have made no difference to the result but I think Hecky is very slow on the sideline to address issues on the pitch during a game. Waiting until the 70th minute or later to make changes risks running some of the starters down completely and holds back the development of players who need game time to get better.

Dont think any of this is anyones fault. Hecky must know the youngsters better than any of our previous managers.

We had an injury crisis so he had to bring Jebbo back no matter that it would have been better for his development to stay at Burton.

Jebbo will be pissed off about this, I think I saw hes under contract until June next year and you would assume this spell reduces the likelihood of him signing another
