I think most decisions were correct for me, but I do have a feeling that refs get starstruck so that very similar instances are not treated similarly. If a 'top' player loses the ball, it can only be because he was fouled, but our 'low quality' players obviously lost the ball because of how good their 'top' quality players are.
Example from last night was the free kick Stevens gave away on the edge of the box. He flapped at the ball and in missing it gave the Man City player a slight palm off, meaning his own flap didn't matter - the Man City player didn't win the ball. OK, so give a free kick.
Then moments later, Baldock was tearing up the pitch, Man City defender flapped at the ball and gave the slightest of pull backs on Baldock ensuring he wasn't able to catch up with the ball and keep it in play. Free kick to Man City.
Trivial, but its no conspiracy. It is simply referees being starstruck. Similar things happened in both Liverpool games.
These are not the reason we lost these games, but it's very hard to play against. You can see the soul being sucked out of players, especially Stevens and Baldock towards the end of yesterday's game.
