I thought for the penalty that was given Fleck was clipped, but no one around me agreed and thought it was a dive.
The second incident looked a clear penalty, Clarke was chopped down.
How did Sky call it?
First penalty looked soft to me, definitely looked like fleck went down easily. The one on Clarke though looked absolutely nailed on from where I was sat.
Get a new TV fella the defender clipped him as he went past, no need to make that tackle though. On the TV Fleck looked like he dived and may well get thrown in front of that new diving retrospective panel. Clark’s trailing foot was caught but it would have been a soft decision.

Rubbish. It was a penalty. Clarke's was too but I can understand why the ref didn't give it.On the TV Fleck looked like he dived and may well get thrown in front of that new diving retrospective panel. Clark’s trailing foot was caught but it would have been a soft decision.
Fleck dived from the angle they showed on TV. I'd like to see it from the other side but O'Kane pulled out of the challenge and Fleck just went down and didn't make the biggest fuss of claiming it. He was never getting that ball. The reaction of O'Kane probably said it all.
The one with Clarke looked more likely, but again it was hard to see if there was any contact, albeit the defender was stupid to cut across his line like that. More often than not I think it would have been given.
The ball hit Steven's elbow and there was enough of a distance for it to be given. It would have been slightly harsh but should probably have been a penalty.
At the time (from the kop) flecks looked 100% a dive. Just seen it and it looks like a real Michael brown special. Anticipate contact and then lift both feet off the ground, add a twist for guaranteed penalty. No penaltyI thought for the penalty that was given Fleck was clipped, but no one around me agreed and thought it was a dive.

What TV were you watching? The angle on the replay showed clear contact. Even the commentator said it was a pen. Watch the highlights on the Sky website.Fleck dived from the angle they showed on TV. Fleck was contact but he made a meal of it.
Personally I wouldn’t give a penalty but by the letter of the law there was contact, so was a penalty.
The Sky pundits watched the video replay and all agreed there was some contact, so definitely a penalty.
Just a hunch, but I reckon if the ref hadn't already given us one pen, he would have given the one on Clarke.
I agree. At the time I thought Fleck took a dive but after seeing the replay on TV there was contact and Fleck's momentum took him down. Second was nailed on. Ref was atrocious all day. He bottled two other decisions when both Evans, for us and Forshaw for them, should have had second yellows.Said at the time that the first was never a pen, the 2nd def was but ref evened his first mistake up.
After watching it again BOTH were pens.
Didn't seem quite so much contact???!!! He clearly takes Leon down. Bizarre decision to give a corner. As others have said, if he doesn't give the first I bet he'd have given the secondSky more or less agreed with the ref on both.
Fleck's was soft, but there was definite contact - seen similar ones given recently. If Harry Kane vs. Liverpool was a penalty, then Fleck's certainly was.
Didn't seem quite so much contact on Leon and to the ref it looked like the defender may have got some of the ball. Some refs would have given it.

The ref seemed to lose the plot with corners towards the end. Leeds had one near the end following a shot that went wide!Didn't seem quite so much contact???!!! He clearly takes Leon down.
