The panic

I have not seen much panic. Just disappointment that we lost and were poor.
I'm in feckin meltdown!

Lost again, that's 5 (FIVE) already and we are no where near Christmas.

Wilders nor appeh, in fact Wilder auuuuughttttt

Not heard from the board, lack of investment is now catching us up.

Pigs had a rare win, only 11 point GAP now!

We are not safe yet, Bolton and Sunderland both got a point.

Strike force is past it, players weren't up for it and we now have an official injury crisis.

Pinchy was right and Pierre's PC is to laid back about it.

We have been winning and table topping so long I forgot how bad a defeat feels.

Note to self, pull yer sen together.

No panic from me but as Wilder stated 'a reality check'

After the Leeds game and going top people have finally started to take notice.

Teams will now start to set up to stop us rather than to play their own style.

The next ten games will be interesting and will give us a much better indication of where we are in the grand scheme of things.

My personal opinion is we will have a tough November whilst we try out different formations and playing styles.

Hope to be wrong and really happy with the season so far.

No panic. We lost to a freak goal but more worryingly is that we didn't play well, carrying on from the 2nd half at Leeds. Too many players having off days at once. Lets see a positive reaction on Satdy.

Different playing styles and formations? On the back of a defeat without key spinal, players.

No thanks.

I think you misunderstood my point. I believe teams will now, inevitably try and counteract our usual formation and style. More so than to date. It may be that to have the continued success we have seen so far we will have to come up with plans b) and c).

I see these two words all too often, more accurately is 'some people', as there's never a general consensus... Seen far more 'panic' elsewhere.

Agreed, however the forum in general today when you click on the “general Blades chat” page is more doom and gloom than after we beat Leeds less than a week ago. Hence the appearance of the forum swings from one to the other. We all know who the clappers and slashers are but there are others who overreact to a bad result.

Never realised there was a panic. I haven't seen us play badly 2 games in a row under Wilder and i'd bet my house on us beating Hull now.
My only niggling worry is that we have only scored once in a (league) game that we have lost. It seems vital that we go in front.

On this forum today I've read more comments about other people panicking rather than people actually panicking. As Corporal Jones said whilst panicking, 'Don't panic, don't panic'!

Ah - feel a bit awkward now, erm, realised I’ve posted wrong Dad’s Army photo. What to do? What to do?..... I know!
PANIC!!!

We don’t need to change much or anything at all from what we have been doing, the officials need to do their job and stop opposition players fouling us, time wasting and letting them getaway with it, I couldn’t help but feel like the ref, Stroud? and the linos had it in for us last night, just the feeling I had, probably bollocks but that’s just what I thought.

Is anybody actually panicking or is someone just telling themselves we are just for the sake of starting what they think will be a well received thread?

Because that's usually the case with things like this.

Lose a game --> Natural disappointment expressed --> "CALM DOWN" / "STOP MOANING" thread appears

I am not panicing BUT I do think Wilder has got his creation operating between 98-100%. The nagging worry of suspensions and injury before we get to January comes along has got the old sphincter doing a Latin American jig. If we are not in the top 6 at the end of the year it'll feel like the wheels have fallen off. Funny thing is in August I would have felt like we were doing really well if we were just in the top 10.

Football, meh

I haven’t really seen any panic. Just frustration that we lost a game to a team in disappointing circumstances.

People are disappointed, as is our manager, as we let ourselves down last night. By tomorrow we will be raring to go at the weekend again but there is bound to be disappointment after a game like last nights.

Panic overstates it, but conversely there seems to be widespread over exaggeration about how poor we were.

I’d give it another defeats before panic set in amongst half of our fans.

How dare you!!!11111one

I'm flipping tables, I've taken to twatter, Facebook and MySpace to demand Wilder's removed from his post immediately. Jamal should be sent back as he's obviously error prone and as for Lundstram, don't even get me started...

Few people on Twitter had miniature meltdowns which was funny. Nowt much doing apart from that.

Onwards and upwards. We have a slut to take care of at home on Saturday.

I'm reliably informed that every team in the Championship will go through a dodgy spell, and we're no different despite our terrific start.

If a poor second half against Leeds (with all 3 points) and a poor 90 minutes at QPR (with one goal conceded from a freak goal) is what we can expect then I'm not too worried really.

I would be worried if we were dropping points like this from a starting position of mid-table, but as Wednesday are showing they'r far closer to the play-offs than the drop, so we're still in a very strong position.

We WONT win every game we play. It's how we assess these off days and build on them, which I have every confident Wilder and Knill will be all over like a rash.

No panic. Even Barcelona would struggle to beat QPR’s hoof and slash game on their postage stamp pitch.

Didn't post last night as I wanted to calm down a bit.

I have to say, the performance was pretty wretched though not the worst I've seen at Loftus Road by a long chalk.

Even last year we did have the odd duff performance (Fleetwood, Walsall). What was weird though was that as the match went on we seemed to stop being able to do the basics. Some credit goes to QPR (and wily old Wurzel) for matching us up but Coutts and Lundstram were not on the same wave-length and our play in wide positions simply didn't come off, over-hit passes, under-hit passes, dinks to no-one etc.

Lessons learned: Brooks is not a replacement for Duffy in the advanced midfield position: Coutts and Lundstram are not a good CM pairing; Donaldson and Clarke doesn't work up top. Harsh lessons, but perhaps worth knowing these things now (and planning the JTW accordingly) rather than at the business end of the season.

Guys ... guys.

Stop worrying. We are third in the Championship. Anyone else honestly think we'd be third in the Championship by November having beaten both our bitter rivals away from home? Anyone else think by this time we'd have won maybe just two games having been bummed lengthwards by the pigs and the Weeds and starting to question if Wilder was really 'the man' and staring at solitary points and other teams losing to keep us out of the drop zone?

We lost last night to a single, circumstantially-gifted goal which resulted in our keeper being stretchered off. We will have to play a lesser-powered line up in some matches and hey, QPR didn't run riot afterwards, did they?

People need to realistically consider:

1. We are playing one level up from last season
2. We won't win every game
3. The formula has to change as the situation dictates
4. The midfield will pick up suspensions
5. We are doing a fuck site better than anyone even dreamt
6. Be grateful for Wilder and his team
7. The pigs.
