Now that Spurs have left White Hart Lane does that mean we are the only remaining professional team to play 'at the lane' ?

As is should be since 1889 :D

Not according to my Notts County supporting colleague's description of his weekends.

And fair play. I like it when he says he has been to 'The Lane' - its a good nickname regardless of which 'lane'.

Plus Spurs will still be playing at their 'lane' when it is built.

Ah fair comment. Are there any others?

plough lane , wimledons on about returning there

my biggest embarrassment as a blade was losing 3-0 to Altrincham in the fa cup at Moss Lane

Any other team using 'the lane' is fine by me. I also can just about forgive people who put a small 'h' in Bramall Lane.

The two that make my skin crawl are the classics; non Man U supporters who refer to them as 'United' and anybody calling us 'Sheffield'.

There's Sutton United's fantastically named Gander Green Lane.

Other than that, best I can offer is The Eagles. Life in the Fast Lane.

You called?

Spuds are only moving 100 metres down the road, the new stadium will probably be called the Femfresh Arena or summat but it'll still be on WHL ;)

Oh and while we are at it, the Sheffield Massive played at the Lane before we were even formed.

Crap thread this one.

Makes my blood boil. "Sheffield" reminds me of the Wolves play off final, which was up on the scoreboard. I saw that and had a sinking feeling.

Nah, they currently playing in Wakefield since the council bulldozed their ground at Don Valley. ;)
