Am I right in thinking we have Cressy, the constantly injured Porter, the hardly ever used Philliskirk and the on trail Evans to chose from up front?
Isnt that a little concerning???

That is correct and it is a complete and utter outrage. Loan market here we go again. A truly pathetic set of strikers. No pace, no flair, nothing. McCabe - you make me sick.

I'll admit it's concerning, I'm not sure it's a complete and utter outrage. We've got one unproven and inexperienced striker less than we had yesterday.

Any expectation that we weren't going to come out of this transfer window with fewer saleable assets than we went into it with was unrealistic at best.

The players who we were worried would be flogged are (for the moment) still here. It is definitely concerning that delivery of the feast of goals that will carry us back to the Championship rests on Cresswell, a possible crock, an attacking midfielder and an expensive misfit with his mind on his upcoming defence case. I'm not sold on outrage though - Deane and Fjortoft in the same day and BT's head-cold were outrages, not this.

The outage is the way McCabe and his cronies have allowed the club to be in a situation where we have a useless Pig on huge money, a complete crock, Philliskirk (who may or may not be a striker) and alleged rapist as our strikers.

Are you taking the piss mate? Useless pig? hes scoring nearly a goal a game!

Just as the Daily Express cannot produce a newspaper without mentioning Princess Diana, so Micadildo cannot post a message without having a go at McCabe.

According to the Official Site, Fleck and Hutton are both strikers and as they are listed in our player profiles page, I would assume the loan agreements have gone through okay.

I hope that he has his tongue in his cheek otherwise they are truly pathetic posts. It is though concerning that we have a lack of strikers, though we do have an abundance of attacking midfielders who seem to be scoring goals, even Monty scored. Maybe we will be looking at a 4-5-1 line up. Still think that it was good busines getting rid of Slew, whose value will only go down after a season in this division and a max of about 8 goals. getting money for Boggy as well is good business and I doubt whether he will be missed by many.

That could have been written by McCabe himself. Good business to get rid of Slew before his value goes down? What the fuck? We are supposed to be a football club with ambition to do well - not a business whose only concern is how much we can sell our best players for. I accept Slew is not proven yet - but he is one of our best youngsters and potentially an excellent player. And the fact is we have very little left up front - and now Slew has gone - absolutely no pace. And the hopeless xxxxs that run our club can't even send a fax it seems.

So you would have sold Quinn and kept Slew?

I wouldn't have sold either. [If I was McCabe] I'd have dipped my hands in my extremely deep pockets and financially backed the club I claim to support, rather than looking to sell at every opportunity.

Easy to spend someone elses money isn't it.

Hope Santa does better for you at Xmas

I wouldn't say that Slew was one of our best players and to get over a million for him is good business. I don't think that he would have succeeded at the level we are at now, which is why his value would have gone down and we would be left with Littlejohn mark2. I would like to be proved wrong and good luck to the lad but I bet that is the last we hear about Slew until he pops up at Burton in 5 years.

We kept Quinn, we kept Lowton and we kept Maguire all far more valuable to our success this year.

Micadilly never lets the facts get in the way of his one trick pony posts

Very amusing - good stuff.

Pains me to see Cresswell playing for us and taking so much wedge. I think he is an awful player and is symbolic of the demise of SUFC. A couple of goals scored on his arse from 3 yards is not going change my opinion.

If goals come from all over the team then is this a problem?

Monty has special rules according to his worshippers so he doesn't have to score or shoot or pass (Tranmere apart obv), Doyle never scores, Willo might score a few, Quinny has dried up, Dmac might get a few, Lowts is RB but might get 5 or so. Where do you think the goals will come from?

Slew for £1mill? Good business

Whilst I wouldn't necessarily disagree on this occasion, I do have to ask you if we've ever done any "bad business" ( I can't recall you ever saying so ) and if not, why we're in Division 3 if we get things right all the time?

Tbc on Saturday...

We already have 10 different players who have scored this season in all competitions.

So far in competitive games since Wilson arrived our goals have been broken down into the following areas:

Defenders - 2
Midfielders- 5
Strikers - 6

Well what else do you suggest Mic? Boggy has never done anything amazing... and neither has Slew. Slew has looked clueless and extremly poor so far this season and your having a go at a striker in decent form scoring goals?

I was annoyed we hadnt signed a striker last night (before i saw that atleast one of the lads on loan was suppose to be able to play upfront) but when asked who we could actually get in upfront im stumped... unless you like Leon Clarke...... :)
