That would be goodbye to any hope of ever establishing ourselves as a PL club and an acceptance that those dizzy heights are not for the likes of parochial old us. But it would be entertaining I suppose, especially for pub landlords.

It never ceases to amaze me that people think that good players automatically make good managers/coaches despite the vast amount of evidence that it isn’t the case.

Many Blades do like a comfort zone, even if it guarantees mediocrity long term. This where the badge thumping and 'culture carriers' epidemic gets us.
