I'll put my guess in later on Saturday if that's OK, I'm usually brilliant at this sort of thing

About halfway through the second half when Gary Sinclair announces it which followed by a round of applause from the crowd. Never sure why they do that. Its a bit like those who clap a plane when it lands.

Are you suggesting I'm delaying my vote for some reason 🤔

For comparisons sake the last time we were relegated from the PL was in 2007.

Our first game back in the Champiomship was a 2-2 draw with Colchester United,
The attendance that day was 26,202
and our average gate during the 07-08 season was 25,631.

Our support has grown since the Warnock days….normally we should expect to average over 27K this season (and that’s with no Leeds or Wednesday)
but with the covid situation it’s difficult to know how much that figure might be reduced.

I‘ve seen that as at yesterday Nottingham Forest have sold 17,500 season tickets…
where as Derby County, have bizarrely sold 0 season tickets, none have been made available yet and it’s match day tickets sales only.
Some of their fans are predicting less than 15,000 at their first home match.

We should end up being the best supported club in the division this season.

I'll go 29,876 if away fans allowed Brum will sell their allocation no worries, always had good support follow them to Lane.

Very surprised by the 27,500 sold statement.
If you look on the seat planner on the sufc.co.uk tickets website there are lots of green unsold seats in all areas, and Bramall Lane Upper Tier is practically empty

well 21k season ticket holders for a start still counted even if they dont turn up 2570 brum fans so not unrealistic that weve sold another 3/4k tickets plus any more sold over the next couple of days so could get close to 30k

Why a surprise? That still allows for almost 5,000 more. The top tier only holds 2,800.

Not surprised by the attendance being 27,000 +
Just surprised looking at the seat planner, there looks to be a lot more than 5,000 seats left

But the most empty stand (BL) probably only had 2,000 spare. The kop is likely next with 1,500 or so. 800-1000 on the John Street, odd few on the south stand and then a few hundred for segregation on the lower tier of BL.
