The morning after, the morning after, l can just about bring myself to comment.

We're 3rd in The Championship and drew away against Villa.

Because of 1000 days plus of Wilder & Knill it's the first time I've felt like I did since this:

Swindon Town 5-5 Sheffield United (7-6 agg) - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32579316

What I'm finding hard to reconcile with is that we are 3 behind Leeds and about to go 5 behind Norwich.

Had Hendo not screwed up in the matches he had, we'd at worst have been three ahead of Leeds with a better goal difference.

They owe him a pint there if they finish above us!

Just hope we can claw it back now. And if Ipswich can pull something out of the bag, then that would also be nice!

Same thing happened to Dortmund yesterday. Painful though it was on Friday, it's what makes football and what it means to a community, the best thing in the world. I love the emotional roller coaster. The Blades are the best roller coaster in the world, feck Alton Towers, though it does make me a bit queasy at times.

Unfortunately Bladefisher , nowhere in my post did I say Hendo had a good game , he had a poor game , but to equate us with Liverpool is a bit diengpus, unless the blades are going to drop 50+ million for a player
If a player ( Long for example) has a consistently bad run of games , then I’d consider dropping the
Player , one to stop him becoming Sheffield United fans latest scapegoat , Stevens , lundstrum , last / this season , and as a confidence measure,
I’m not for throwing a player under a bus , I believe in supporting players through good , and bad periods of there careers with us
After all it wasn’t so long ago when a good few posters on here where criticisng a fat lad from Sheffield, and me and TYLER D , were defending him
Nowt so fickle as folk at times

I think you are missing my point.

This season Henderson has appeared to be pretty good, but... he seems to be somewhat over confident. He fucked up against Leeds a big big game, local derby and on tv. Ok one error forgivable etc . No problem. A few games later he fucks up at least three times two of which cost us a goal. Big game on tv.

Now see the similarities? Can this guy not cope with big games live on tv? No drop him for a few games to make him realise this is Sheffield United, not Newton Heath's 3rd team he is playing for.

No doubt before your time, another guy who did this was the 'legendary' Big John aka John Hope. His nightmare away at West Ham still haunts me.

No Hendo is not shit. He just needs to remember. Dont fuck up in the big teams and especially on tv.

A bit of perspective.. I can see something similar happening during playoffs. The way we bottled it last night will be in the back of players (& fans!) minds now
be shit professionals if it was

its gone

we lost 5-0 at west ham and 4-0 at leeds in the 90 run in but still got up
beat boro and its all done

I can’t agree with that. Poor man management. He probably feels like shit right now, he knows what he’s done. Dropping him isn’t going to help.

It's the classic 'carrot and stick method' as advanced by a portion of our support, but without the carrot.

It was the same way to make George Long a better keeper. Drop him then jeer when he makes a save. This really helped improve the lad and is why he is now an England regular.

Gordon Banks has died.

Apologies, as I was about to reply TS announced Gordon’s passing.

Long needed dropping at the time, his confidence was shot. He made more than the odd error. If anything, I think we exposed him too much for his age.

Everybody's dropped points, and thrown things away, not because they're fucking fairies, but because that's the way of the fucking world. Guess what petal. No-one's perfect.

Fragile. Fuck me.

Millwall. 2-0 up. 2-2. Win 3-2. At fucking Millwall. What a fucking game. What a fucking team.

Fragile.
Fair enough the team has proved me wrong and held onto a lead and got a great win tonight. It’s not quite beating a team that’s in 20th place obviously. ;)

Piece of advice. Don’t take it to heart so much that others might have opposing opinions.
