Interested to compare James Hanson and Tom Elliott, the league's best two target men. Someone said on the view from Wimbledon that we were looking at Elliott too, which is very easy to believe. I think Hanson will start and Elliott will as long as he's fit.

I have to say I thought Elliott looked the more impressive.

He was a real handful. Good in the air, mobile, decent touch. A very good target man. He just had no service. Bearing in mind that he's also 3 years younger I'd probably rather we had signed him than Hanson.

That was as convincing 3pts as you can have, great performance. fleck where he danced thru defence & lavery turn, curled into far corner were joy to see.

What a debut from Hanson if he keeps going like that will have silenced all doubters. Won every header, used his strength, slotted in like he been there for months. Also hansons goal showed great awareness as he pull away from defender into space. But then not just as must have been tough for man of the match as so many had a good game Freeman Duffy Fleck Sharp Wright even Lavery as the sub

But really it should have been a gimme anyway because they is a huge gulf in finances between us & Wimbledon. We have probably biggest in this league & sure the Wimbledon chairman said their budget wouldn't even be in top 10 of league 2 so massively overachievement. The big tests are still to come in the next 4 games peterboro bristol rovers Scunthorpe & Bolton

He looked decent but his goal scoring record in recent seasons is worst than Hanson. 6 in 45 last season for a team that got promoted isn't good enough. Hanson was immense today and I think surprised a few.

I know his record is nothing special but like Hanson he's come into league football late and developed late. He's got a good tally this season and I see no reason he can't continue like this now. In a good team like ours I think he could really do well. Out of contract in the summer too so maybe we should have picked him up on the cheap.

the thing is booker people were critisising hansons signing but were the best team hes ever played with and i think he will score more goals than most people will be expecting

It was a much better display by all the players. Hanson looks good signing.
