At last back in action this afternoon with the visit of Wimbledon. Hopefully presenting the opportunity to get back to winning ways, though I'm not suggesting that will be in any way an easy task. They are sat pretty comfortably in mid table, and are on a run of 3 unbeaten, though that does include 2 draws. They appear to be pretty weak going forward away from home (well they don't score many away) but appear pretty resolute in defence on the road with the 4th meanest. I would suggest that might indicate what kind of game is about to come, and hopefully the new personnel will have the key to unlock it.....

Anyway..

Any team news? :)

Samir back in contention? But only on the bench perhaps?

Is Lafferty fully fit? (you would assume so!)

Riley and O'Shea probably not starting?

Lavery to partner Billy?

With Hanson the battering ram for the last 20 to 25 mins?

Looking forward to seeing (hearing) how the new boys do today, particular what impact Hanson has, giving us a different dimension. Hopefully he and Billy hit it off right away, but patience is also the key. Simply need to get back to winning ways this afternoon in whatever fashion necessary. Hopefully the other results do us a favour, but let's make our own 'luck' by at least ensuring our own 3 points. 2-0 Blades win :)

I'd like to see the same formation with Wright back in, and McNulty not in the squad. Any permutation of players that reflects those two things from those that are fit enough to start should result in a return to normality.

If Wrights back in then stick with the same formation, otherwise i'd like to see 4 at the back, a narrow diamond in midfield with Jay O'Shea n the 10 role, Duffy drifting wherever he wants and a front two of Lavery and Sharp.

Nice n flexible, attack minded, packed midfield and 3 bastard points for the red n white wizaaaaaards

Today will be interesting in the fact that Wimbledon have not scored a league goal away from home since 22nd October.

I would be very surprised if Hanson didn't start. I don't want it to happen, but I fully expect him to get a run of games now. He is best used from the bench, but let's hope he can fit into our side and we don't have to resort to lumping it because he isn't capable of adapting! Never wanted a player to prove me wrong more than Hanson right now, especially after getting so much stick from Bradford fans about how bad a signing he is. Especially now they won't shut up about Charlie Wyke, who I wanted us to sign!

Please God let's score an early goal at home, I can't remember the last time we did, (MK Dons?). It wold take so much pressure off if we did.

Wright in for Bash and Lavery in for Wright would be the changes I would make to the line up, but I reckon Wilder may get O'Shea in from the start somewhere.

Interested to compare James Hanson and Tom Elliott, the league's best two target men. Someone said on the view from Wimbledon that we were looking at Elliott too, which is very easy to believe. I think Hanson will start and Elliott will as long as he's fit.

Just to make sure I've got this right za, Wright is in then he's out, a bit like a red and white hokey cokey?

That's strange because every Bradford fan I know (my team has a site in Leeds so that's quite a few by the way) is thoroughly pissed off at losing him and even more so that he has come to us.

Depends if you spoke to them pre-Charlie Wyke (which I'm guessing you did). Trust me, as a Bradfordian, they believe they have got an excellent deal out of this!

Charlie Wyke may be good may be not , but if I were a Bradford fan I've have my doubts , the guys only been successful in div 2.

Half-time 2-0

We've been a bit subdued because it's been fairly comfortable. Once we scored we sat back and have defended with ease. Wimbledon look like they'll have to rely on a set piece or a penalty to score because although they've done a bit of attacking they've never looked a theat.

Hanson has won most of his headers and flick ons, not a great player but got to admit he's working really well with Sharp, seem to be on the same wave length. His inclusion has given us an extra dimension in that we don't have to be so precise. We can mix it up and lump it into the box. He's having a good debut so far and of course he scored too.

The match looks over and if we get out of 2nd gear we might win this 4 or 5 nil.

Alternatively if we think the game is won we might get lazy and invite Wimbledon on to us, they get a goal back then it's game on.

But to be honest you can't see them scoring unless it's a penalty.
