Hope everyone is feeling thoroughly well today, but almost certainly looking forward to getting back to some sort of normality, and taking in the boxing day clash at BDBL with the visit of Frank Lampard's Derby County. Sure to be another very difficult test as we search our first home win since October....

So...

Any team news? ;)

A third game unchanged?

A starting place for Clarke?

Or same starting forward line?

Sure to be an excellent sized crowd. Hopefully with good vocal support for the lads to help us get back on track. But FLDC do seem to be coming together as contender, which personally I thought wouldn't happen. Anyway another TV game, but I'm not sure this one will be much different to the recent home ones. Not as confident as usual, so it's a draw for me, 1-1. I hope to proven wrong with a Blades victory.

1-2. As per Carlton Blade prediction on another thread. We play well 1st half and score, they come back into it 2nd half and score 2.

I’ll add, that we drop out of the top 6, that we all come on here, claim to be just short of the desired standard, praise CW,’s style of play, rejoice in punching above our weight, bemoan the the lack of £’s and hope for some incomings in the JTW. :)

Recent results gave been determined by our defensive mistakes and before that we have been pretty solid on avoiding them. Time for us to be the beneficiary of some mistakes, deflections and bounces. A team that plays as well as we consistently have been will what it deserves eventually. Optimism feeds success so let's be glss half full today and back our superb lads who don't get the respect they deserve

Loyse . As per Copper Knickers above, except that Derby get a third when CW plays 10 up front trying to rescue a point. 1-3.

We're only just above evens to win. Utter madness.

And Derby at 5/2. Being a grabbing bastard, and thinking with my head, I’ve stuck them on my acca. Tenner I don’t mind losing of course.

Just a point is my hope from this one.

We could get battered here. They and Villa are the two I've feared playing again.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We can win but we need to be at our best and they need to have an off day.

As I’ve said before if any of the big beasts in this league have a good 30 minutes or more in a game against us then we are likely to get beaten.

We could start by not gifting the opposition with a totally unwarranted, unearned opening goal like Leeds, West Brom, Ipswich.

It’s not rare that teams struggle to keep clean sheets. What is rare for me is the first goal you concede is a gift all of your own making.

Some of the goals we conceded wouldn’t have been out of place in the Under 12s from the kid who gets picked last!

We lost last time to derby and game should have been signed, sealed and delivered by half time. I’d like to come on here after the match and not read the word frustrated for once.

JTW next week, I'm praying we can can hold on to 6th until reinforcements arrive!!
Il say, a draw.

A win on Sky would be nice, this season;

Played 7
Won 1
Drawn 2
Lost 4
For 7
Against 9

I think we might win today, Derby have some good individuals but I don’t think they have the all round quality of WBA who outclassed us for an hour last home game

3-1 to United.

That’s more like it

Waggy to score I reckon.

No idea on result tbh today.

If its anything like the reverse fixture we are in for a treat as that was 1 of most entertaining games sky had in 2018 & We have to win to try & right the wrongs of saturday so i think both teams to score is nailed on but i fancy 2-2. But if we win it would have to be by a 2 goal margin at least 3-1 as we will hand opposition 1 goal we always do ie ipswich villa stoke. & recently we cant hold on to a 1 goal lead to save their lives

Think we need to score 3 to win this game.allowing then for defensive mistakes wayward passing in defence.were we always seem to get punished.think derby will definately get 2 goals or maybe more

Its about time we won at home. About time we won in front of a big home crowd. Time to show Sky why they choose our games for tv. Time to give Chris Wilder his late Christmas present. Let it be this afternoon.

Need to keep the faith blades.

yet ANOTHER deflected goal against us v Ipswich to go with a few others a few other disappointments.

There's not a lot wrong - we just need to pick it up a bit more, plus the added benefit (hopefully) of a decent JTW and we'll be off again.

I'll agree with all of that except the bit where we'll bemoan our lack of £'s

Our fans will celebrate our lack of £'s because there's never been a footballer in the history of the world on good money who has ever been anything more than a trouble making mercenary with a shocking attitude

Tough game but we have shown that we can match them. We will dominate at times today, just a question of makimg it count for once. Predicting a win simply because I don't we can keep going on squandering domination like we have been.
We need to stay off the port and brandy at half time though, which seems to be our undoing.

2-1.
