So tonight brings the rearranged match against Fleetwood at BDBL with CW, as well as most of us, still fuming at Saturdays poor result. As many have said though, 2 goals at home against 'lowly' opposition should get you a victory, so to lay blame at the strikers door is arguably unfair. Anyway Saturday is gone and now is time to take some pressure off ourselves and put it on the others by taking three points. Hmmmm no mean feat...

Fleetwood unbeaten in 10 league games and well organised. This time 'if' we are on top we really need to hammer home the advantage...

So....

Any team news? :)

Lafferty hopefully returning?

Samir still out?

Done on bench?

Riley surely getting some game time?

Hanson a debut winner? :)

Not saying anything which hasn't already been said but we do need to get back to winning ways. Tonight being a particularly tricky game to get that going again. However we are top for a reason, and should not be fearing anyone at our place. Blips will happen but this season, with THREE main contenders for 2 places, makes it all the more important to maintain what has gone before. Would be heartbreaking to finish third, BUT there is a long way to go yet....

Fear it could be a draw, 1-1 but Hanson might pop with a late winner for 2-1 :)

biggest banana skin left.

if WE don't bring our A game to the table we will lose.

FFS, put the ball in the bloody net and keep it tight at the back - defenders, you need Geoff Boycott concentration. !

I agree with Fulwood. Fleetwood are a team in form and I would expect them to have a go.

It has all been said re necessary changes, so it will be interesting to see the team that Chris puts out.

Up the Blades.

This will be a real test. Need to show a signal of intent and no nerves, need to get at them from the off, rather than the other way around. UTB.

In this division all games are a potential banana skin !!! - Whilst the OP thought that CW blaming the strikers for Saturdays' result a tad unfair and I agree that the defending was horrible - If you are leading by three or four goals (which they should have been) there is no coming back for the opposition !

Tough looking fixture and who would ever have thought we would have said that about a home game with Fleetwood? They have done remarkable things the last few years and in the last few months Rosler has proved what a canny manager he is at this level and he will have been going through our recent weaknesses with a fine tooth comb.

This is the first home game since September when going in to it I would say a defeat is as likely as a win, if we had beaten Oldham on Saturday a draw would have been a decent result tonight but now we need to win.

Anything less than three points and our near rivals in the division will be back on our heals from Saturday and the play off spectre will start to raise it's head again.

Time to do the business United.

I think Riley will start LWB. Done on bench.

Everything else unchanged.

Definitely need Wright back in front of Moore. Perhaps rest Bash and give EEL another chance to snap out of this recent dip in form?
Lafferty has to play if fit.

Sort the back out and everything else will take care of itself, provided our midfield doesn't nesh it's challenges again.

We might have to keep a clean sheet to win tonight.

I think Wilder was right to criticise our strikers after Saturday - we have the best home defence in the league, we haven't scored enough goals at home. I can see us really struggling to score tonight, and there's a great chance Fleetwood could sucker punch us and pull of a win. This is one of many reasons Saturday's result was so infuriating - a bad result tonight, which is entirely possible, will damage us quite a bit. Had we won it would've been a low pressure game.

Team selection wise, two things have to happen. No Done at LWB. Wright in at CB. If neither of those changes are made I'll be very disappointed in Wilder's selection for probably the first time.

Not sure why everyone seems to be shit scared of this game. Toughest one left - really ? how about Rochdale (A) and Bolton/Scunny at home. OK so they have done OK these last few games, but generally they are where they are because of their home form. Not saying that we needn't be wary of them though, and we certainly need to plug those holes at the back sharpish - Wright HAS to come back in for me as a must.

Christ there's some worried folk on here, agree the last two games have produced disappointing results but the general play was good, I dont suppose for a minute it is going to necessarily be easy but come on wheres all the bravado and confidence and in Wilder we trust suddenly gone? Anyhow I think we will lose 0-3, but come on lets show some belief :-)

I'd be happy with four points from two home games, that's promotion form (as long as we do the same away)

If we play anything like and take our chances, we win. It's not terminal if we don't win, but a huge boost if we do. Everyone just has to hold their nerve!

When was the last time we had a good Tuesday night home game/result/performance?

We simply don't do those. They're always a struggle.

That's as big a reason for concern as any other.

Saw fleetwood play Chesterfield earlier this season and they pass it aboit through midfield, didn't see a massive threat in front of goal and did look vulnerable at the back (a certain striker should've scored) overall think we could sneak a 1-0 win

First time since Southend away where I don't feel confident.

Lets hope it plays out the same.

Mcnulty starts with lafferty. In for Lavery and done.
