Seems very slow tonight, need more pace, and faster decision making, pretty much the story of the season really.

Interesting seeing the (negative) comments about Wilson. I think he’s been excellent so far - used the ball well, chased a lot and some neat touches too.
And he's massively better than Donaldson who has just been awful...

Could see that coming, although don't deserve to Lose this,

Massive mistake to let Snodgrass come inside like that.

We definitely didn't deserve to lose mind.

Fancy trying to show Snodgrass onto his left foot.

Fuck me.

Great goal but we outclassed Villa for most of the game. Their keeper MOM, kept them in it. Villa can’t believe their luck.

It was another of those games where we were the better side, but didn't get the result. We've had too many of those this season.

New players same story, although their keeper had a blinder, very frustrating,
Not putting away our chances will be the difference between a top 10 or a top 6 position.

First half was good, but we started the second half so, so poorly, which set the tone. Just couldn't get going again and knew if there were to be a goal it wasn't going to be for us.

Criminal by Stevens to let Snodgrass cut in onto his left there. I’m not one to slate players, but I’m not sure what Stevens offers. Baldock on the other hand, good player...just needs to put the bloody ball in the mixer more when it’s cut back to him, instead of cutting it back again to Basham.

We looked a little leggy out there tonight, but didn’t deserve to lose, especially not like that. Their keeper made 3 good stops, especially the last one from Fleck.

If someone had offered 7th in the league and in 5th round of cup and beginning of season I’d have had your whole arm off!

Up the blades

Watching the highlights and their goal is absolutely shocking.

Stevens was turned ridiculously easily, but it's Lundstram and Fleck (?) who are more at fault. They both ran back and took up similar positions marking no one and not being able to close down the man on the ball. Dreadful defending. I think most players would have a pop given so much room. Snodgrass even knocked it too far forward but we were sleeping.

Disappointing defeat more personally than performance, as we more than matched villa & deserved a pt. As we were brilliant 1st half, we created more in 1st 25 mins than whole of preston game. But for bad luck & great goalkeeping we couldve won that by a couple. But instead we get the last minute sucker punch & it was top quality. Obviously not wanting to make excuses but its another finalical chasm when you consider that villa since relegation 18 months ago have spent 100+ m in purely transfer fees. Simliar to man city With de bruyne or silva, money buys you ability in tight games to produce that top quality/magic at the end. Which is compliment albeit it tough to take, that our bunch of lower league rough diamonds more than matched that villa for 179mins over both games

Although as well as we played 1st half & at times 2nd half. I thought we played too much airral balls. Playing right into their hands defensively. Espically when we know we play great stuff on the floor & want to turn the aging defence. But whats also frustrating at some recent games, are some david weir tendencies creeping in, because too many times. Player (evans?? 21st min ish & Clarke towards end what i most remember) gets the ball either on edge or in penalty area, Controls it (particularly 21st min) the defence just parted. So whack it. perfect time, but no lets try '1 more pass' instead of shooting even more frustrating considering the success fleck & baldock had. Its like some of players are wanting to walk it in or have an oppotuntity on a silver platter
