The message from the board is clear: Failure is unacceptable

I disagree. By all accounts, the board were split 50/50 over the decision but ultimately the failure to secure promotion from such a strong position, despite full backing in the JTW has cost him his job.
What do you mean 'by all accounts' ? Has someone who knows come out and said it is just because of failure to be promoted?

Maybe Wilder handed in Oli Mac as his number one transfer target and that was that.. would not surprise me if they had also not flown across a plane load of potential investors to watch the play off final expected ' victory' and had contracts printed ready to sign thereafter ..

Chris wilder failed to gain promotion this is the perfect opportunity for the new owners to take action bring their own man in and start implementing the way they want to take the club forward. They was never going to get rid half way through the season when we were sitting in the top 2. Had we been 10th the would've got rid straight away why can people not see this. Like it or not he was not going to be their man long term, get shut now bring the person in they want and start with the recruitment how they and the new guy see fit.

We've just got to suck it and see, me personally I'm looking forward to it.
