I would think that Morgs is not first choice, hence the interviews, but is the standard by which others will be judged. If nobody impresses or costs too much we have our manager in place. As to who is on the list, I'll be surprised if it is ever really known - that way we can all be right.

Brian the Blade it is then.

If Morgan is in place, mine will be unoccupied. That may not matter much to him, the club or anyone else, but for me, it's the ultimate surrender to mediocrity and, with great regret, I'll be leaving them to it.

Some will moan whoever ver we get in as manager. For me,I can't understand why so many are obsessed with Robinson. He has had the backing from his chairman, spent money and finish 8th in what many were saying was an awful league 1. Not won anything or achieved anything. Even more bewildering is some fans pushing for Dickov who surely is at the same stage of his managerial career as Morgan with no evidence that he would be any good

Anyone who went to MK Dons would have seen two poor teams playing awful football and not actually creating anything

If we got Bothroyd could you imagine the uproar even thou he managed to get Watford promoted on a shoestring not long back. McLeish is available on a free...i bet some would even complain if we got him.

As for Morgan,he had to try and manage a team that wasn't his whose confidence was low. With a pre-season with his players,it might be different. However,I do think Morgan will be the 'last resort' should our primary targets not want to come.

It wouldn't surprise me if at least 2 of the managers of the play off finalists this weekend are on the list. Unfortunately we are competing with Donny and Wolves so we won't be getting 1st choice .

I've no idea who the right man will be,however I couldn't give a shit if it is the an ex Blade or ex Pig as long as it ends up being the right person for the job.

As a player played loads of international games, European football, played under the best football manager in recent years (no not you Colin), won championships.

About 700 International caps and hundreds of games played for a genius of a manager against 0 caps and several seasons under Robson and Blackwell.

Y'know, I just don't get all this adulation about Moyes. Eleven years, no trophies. In this day and age, I suppose that make him a genius of a manager. He's Mr. Safety. Liverpool have been there for the taking (Merseyside superior-wise) for about 3 years but Moyes hasn't cashed in. 30k+ crowds, decent transfer budget but still a very average side.

Back on topic, i don't see why Owen Coyle is being dismissed. Like many sacked managers, he'll have thought he'd walk back into a job, but the clock is ticking and you soon get forgotten.

Good point about Moyes, Grafik only problem is both those points quoted were regarding Gary Neville and the manager concerned was SAF, now he WAS shit!

Morgan seemed to get them to step up the tempo against Swindon though, didn't he.
He failed however to get them to repeat that performance.
Apart from introducing some younger players he didn't seem to alter anything...the usual hoof carried on ad nauseum.

Yeah I'd be interested in Coyle, because he has managed in the Champ. and Prem. A look at his record though suggests he might be a bit rumbustious. He never stayed long as a player at clubs.

My choice would be 1 Coyle, 2 McCall, 3 Pemberton 4 Warnock but I doubt if Neil is even being spoken about. As McCabe dismissed him at crisis time he's hardly likely to consider him now the urgency is over and the shit has hit the fan.

What we need is

I was told last night from connections with the club, that the shortlist of 7 is actually 8

8 interviews Thursday, Friday and tomorrow (Monday)

This has come from high up at the club

No idea who tho or whether 1st or 2nd interviews

'Can confirm Karl Robinson will meet with his agent tomorrow amid interest from Sheff Utd. Complicated compensation issue an obstacle. #SUFC'

Rob Staton just now

Looks like that wont happen then unless he is the unrivalled choice...

I'd guess their agents first hence no approach to other clubs yet.

Robinson's agent is Rob Seagal who tried to convince the Blades fans in 2001-02 season that Paul Devlin is a true Birmingham fan. What Rob didnt realise that we already knew that Paul supports Celtic and said in a programme interview a year or so earlier that he would go with his family to watch Celtic home matches by travelling on Celtic supporters club coaches from West Midlands (he was wearing a Celtic shirt in our post season tour in Caribbean). Paul's lack of effort in that home defeat against Watford in October was very bad but Rob's comments in the Star a week or two later about Paul being a "True Blue" made me really angry as he is another vile agent who treats the fans as if they are thick. Dont want Rob at the Lane again!

My 7 ? Simple

McCall was the coach during the best, exciting football spell we have seen at the Lane for many a year. We were promoted to the Premier too. He should have been appointed when Warnock left.

Yes Please after today's breaking news. Iwould also settle for Robinson as my seventh choice. Oh happy days are here again ? Fingers crossed!!!

Well McCall is looking most likely. Parkinson now probably out having just signed a new contract
