Today I've awoken to find the sun out, still beers in the fridge, United are 7th in the Prem with 8 games to play, and covid restrictions are starting to evaporate.
The only thing making me contemplate suicide today, is having to emulsion freshly plastered walls in the extension.

So, it's a new day, I haven't had a drink, I have a clear head, and now I'm looking forward.
I may have been a little bit disappointed and angry yesterday, I may have let that get to me, and i may have even gone a bit over the top, but we all react in our own ways, even if we don't need to.

I've listened to the press conferences this morning, I'm not going to lie, I'm worried, but in the grand scheme of things, we're pretty much safe, we will be in the Prem next season, and were still in the cup at the moment, so things could be worse, I could be a wendyite!

COYRAWW!!!!

That's the spirit BigBed!

I'm going to try to enjoy the remainder of the games, although it would help my enjoyment if they just played a whole better than they have done in the last 2 games, regardless of the result.

I've been telling friends, family and work colleagues from all over the country that the one thing that is guaranteed about this Sheffield United side is that they will turn up and give it a right good go - that you get your money's-worth, week in, week out.

These last 2 games are making me look like a liar!

So come on Blades - let's get back to giving 100% in every one of the remaining games. If we do that I can cope with whatever set of results, but I'm just not used to seeing us go belly-up under this manager.

You and me both. I have been made to look rather silly after stating with great certainty that we would 'fly out of the traps' and 'show Villa and Newcastle how proper pros look after themselves' etc etc....oh dear!

Thankfully I haven't had too much stick from non-Blades acquaintances so far, in fact if anything, most of them still seem more outraged about the Hawkeye travesty.

I think we had our peak, we just need to try, it's to easy to roll over and die, but, our players seem to be all in, tired and there seems to be panic and indecision creeping in.
All we can do is shout at the tv, we're of no help anymore, the lads need to do it themselves now.

Rules & exceptions......
The break doesn’t seem to have suited us. Players look in a bit of a state & need to get the energy & focus levels back up.
No easy games in the Prem & won’t be easy against Manure - but 3 away games to get going after the break can’t have helped.
Get ‘em back to BDTBL & the rule will be re-instated from the exceptions we’ve seen this last week.

Really can’t work out if the lads are unfit because of a lack of games, or knackered because they have trained too hard during lockdown?

The thing that's upset me, is from what we've seen this season so far, we just look a different team, it looks like we're safe and they've just given up, when we all know they're better than this, but only they can sort it. Big game Wednesday against a big team, hopefully they buck up for it.

Hope you're first coat was a thinnish white wash one on fresh plaster.

I said to my neighbour this morning, let's face it if someone had said we'd be 7th on 44 points after 30 games at the start of the season, we'd have probably asked what they were smoking.

I don't believe a team that has battled as hard as these lads, from League 1 through the Championship and up to 7th in Premier League have just decided not to bother
I believe they are still putting in 100% effort. But for some reason, the tank seems empty.

The coaching and fitness team seem to have got something wrong and I seriously worry how they can possibly fix it when we've got so many games so close together

Let's hope 44 points is enough to stay up

Title 9/10
Speech (and I don't like speeches) 8/10
Would 'like' again.

As CW has said no reason why we look so lethargic. One thing though is that I trust him to put it right.

should not forget villa game

chelsea struggled to win 2-1 there
we would have won 1-0 but for miopic GLT operators

Thought Liverpool were only as lively as we looked
in fact only seen man city look up for it so far

i agree because on positive if we beat man utd on Wednesday. all of a sudden we are 1pt clear in 5th with 7 games to go. things will look massively different

but where has positive team that we start even in home game v man utd it feels like for majority we are trying to nick a 1-0. i know our success has been built on our defence but it feels like we gone too much the defensive way & i dont think we had a great 90 mins since arsenal

I think if you blindly forget our failings in the last 2 games you'll be in for an even bigger shock tomorrow

How the hell have you managed to get a plasterer 😲 ?

Could be the referees in the games we've played so far have knock the stuffing out of our lads, but then again looking back over the last few seasons, since Mr Wilder's took over, we have traditionally been slow starters, and this has been just like starting a new season but with a pile up of fixtures and injuries to major players'
This is a strange time but I've got a feeling in mi water that we'll come through it, so don't panic Mr Mannering don't panic.......;)
