Wow ! The four in the play off positions there. Two in the National League, Scunny in fact rock bottom and nailed on to go down. Rochdale near bottom of 2nd division.

We're still in there and battling for a play-off place. Immediate debts have been cleared and wages caught up, but we were as close to the wind as I have ever known it. In spite of all that bollocks we still managed our highest home gate of the season this evening (7k), just in time to get dicked 0-1 by Barnet. Never a dull moment down here and although Rugrat Ron is universally loathed we are still turning out for the team.

My god, Scunthorpe, Oldham, Chesterfield and Southend now non-league. Bury no longer exist and Rochdale might fall through this season. Southend might get wound up this week.

I see Lopata has terminated his contract due to a breach of contract from Southend. Any inside knowledge on what it was, and why?

Not being paid but apparently he was paid what he was owed and then cancelled his contract.

Also his agent was promised a 5 figure sum when he signed for Southend which hasn't been paid either.

This was most certainly an agent driven thing. Lopata signed a 3 year deal when he joined and Ron promised his agent a decent wodge for the signing. Turns out that so far, Ron has reneged on the agent's payout and as a result the non payment of wages triggered the get out of jail card the agent was looking for. Kacper really does have to be careful he is not now viewed as a regular mover whenever things don't go exactly as he, and his agent, want.
