Have to pick up some tickets for a mate tonight so thinking of drinking in there tonight rather than the Beer Engine, but as I've never been, I thought I'd canvass opinion from you fine men before making a decision...

I quite like it,service is a bit slow, bit pricey , but you might bump into one of your heroes walking about the place, the old photographs are worth a look at, and take the lift from John Street reception, you enter on one side, and depart on the opposite side, how cool is that?.

It's okay. Not cheap (as you'd expect), limited range of beers, but you get to see the odd former player or two walking around, having chats, etc. Good view of the pitch and the players warming up, etc. Queues can be a bit of a nightmare, but probably no worse than any of the local pubs prior to kick off.

It's "child friendly", and with it also being on the family stand side you tend to get a lot of kids in there. Most are too busy watching what's going on on the pitch to be under your feet, but I know that might put some off.

It's fine. Probably worth going in at least one even if just for the experience.

Is that the one on john st ? Bradders keeps trying to get me in but I've heard it's a bit pricey

Nice one. Will probably give it a go. What do they have on draft?

Any of you chaps in there tonight?

No real ale but they have a Marstons US IPA that is just about passable.

Service may be an issue tonight as I happen to know that the normal understaffed team are mostly missing. Still you can always mouth off at some poor 19 year old on minimum wage, to make your evening if that's your thing.....

I am to busy marvelling at the in and outs of the lifts, to be rude.

I’ve been a couple of times and I like it. Nice to overlook the pitch as you sink a few beers. Gets busy for big games though so get there early

Nah, I'll just punch them in the kidney then let off a flare in protest...

Worth a mention that as from this season it’s season ticket holders only. About £4.50 a pint but as has been said, worth going in at least once if it’s only for the view

Never really took to the International bar, if you're looking for a boozer near the ticket office what about Sheaf, Golden Lion or Railway.

For beer, definitely beer engine.

For lager or 'craft', international bar is fine :)

Certainly worth having a trip in there for the view but Jesus wept the beer is shite (especially if you normally frequent the Beer Engine).
